Kai felt good being back stateside, even if he wasn't going home right away. Lennox, Epps, and Kai walked together, heading off to a set of cars waiting for them to take them to a hotel for the night. However, as they walked, a set of SUVs arrived at the base. "Captain Lennox," Kai looked behind him to the agent approaching quickly. "We need you and your team to come with us right now!" The agent told him.
Lennox turned in time to have his bag taken from him. "Let's go." Lennox looked back at Epps and Kai – he shrugged. He didn't know what was happening either.
Kai felt his bag being pulled from his hand as well, getting escorted to one of the many SUVs that were there for Lennox and his unit. Kai wasn't sure what was happening – he suspected it had something to do with what they saw in the desert, but they didn't learn much from the tail they were able to keep.
Whatever the case was, Kai was along for the ride.

Ro gave a fake smile to the woman across from her. "So..." Ro nodded her head slowly, looking over at the blonde and her friend.
She smiled at Ro. "What'd they get you for?" She asked.
Ro looked over at Olive and Van before looking back at the blond. "I bought a car." The duo gave Ro a confused look. "Turned out to be an alien robot." The black man mouthed, "wow" at Ro. "The best 4k I've ever spent." Ro added.
"Does anybody know where we're going?" Donovan asked.
"No clue." The blond said. "I'm Maggie. This is Glenn."
Ro gave them a wave. "I'm Ro, that's Olive." Olive wiggled her fingers at the duo. "And Van." Donovan flashed a smile at Maggie and Glenn. "What'd they get you for?" Ro asked.
"She dragged me into it." Glenn pointed blame at Maggie. Maggie rolled her eyes at him.
"Sounds familiar." Olive muttered, getting an elbow into her arm from Ro.
Maggie noticed that Ro kept her eyes above her head. "Afraid of heights?" Ro nodded, unable to look out of the helicopter to see where they were flying to. Ro felt sick to her stomach just knowing she was in a helicopter. "Just keep talking to us, it will be over before you know it." Maggie said, trying to ease Ro's fears.
The rest of the journey to the Hoover dam was just as Ro thought it would be. Although Maggie and Glenn did keep her mind off the heights. Olive held her hand at one point when the helicopter turned to move around the mountain to bring them to their destination.
Ro was so happy to have her feet back on the ground when the helicopters landed on the launch pad. What Ro didn't realize was that Kai had gotten off the other helicopter with Epps and Lennox. Ro had her hands over her eyes to drown out the sound of the blades of the helicopter, so she didn't see the military personnel climbing out.
