Ro rolled her eyes at Shane as his hand trembled as he put on the badge. Ro rested her arms on the seats, looking ahead of them to see the guards and the entrance to KSI. Ro just wanted to get inside and hope they could find out everything.
Cade glanced over at Shane. "You know, at a time like this, the idea is to keep cool, not look cool, so why don't you lose the glasses?" Cade suggested. Shane took the sunglasses off his face, placing them onto his lap. "About a month ago, in the middle of the night, I thought I heard noises in my house." Shane looked at Cade with wide eyes. "Was that you?"
"Can we not have this conversation right now?" Ro asked.
"What? Come on. No way."
"Don't lie to me, kid."
"Not really the time, Yeager." Ro said.
"You see that guy with the gun out there?" Ro hung her head, leaning back against the back seats. She shook her head. Her hands went over her ears to pretend she wasn't hearing the conversation that Cade was having with Shane. No amount of saying this was a "bad time" would get through Cade's skull. Ro sighed heavily when Shane finally confessed it was him in Tessa's room in the middle of the night.
The Camaro finally pulled forward, allowing the guards to check over the car. "Taking it in for scanning?" The guard asked.
"Uh-huh." Shane passed over his badge. He sat there nervously, expecting the badge not to work. The guard let them go through.
"I'm literally gonna kill you."
"Again, can you wait to kill later?" Ro said.
"I choose wait to kill." Shane muttered as he drove towards the scanning bay.
Ro looked around, watching the people in the clean suits. "This place is intense." Ro commented as she leaned forward. Bee pulled into one of the rooms with what looked like a statue of a Transformer that KSI was attempting ot make.
"That is a bad-ass robot."
"He kinds of looks like you, Bee." Cade said.
Bee didn't take kindly to that comment. He revved his engine in response. Ro climbed out after Cade pulled the seat back for her. She looked up at the Transformer, shaking her head.
"They're trying to build their own versions." Cade said as him and Ro walked in front of Bee to look at the model.
"Well, at least they're picking cooler cars than this." Shane commented.
Ro waited until she heard Shane groan. "Bee's sensitive about his looks." Ro said as she looked from the model of the Transformer to the car. "Fuck, they really are doing this." Ro shook her head.
"You talk to me like that?"
"Bee, please behave. We don't need somebody coming in and questioning what's going on." Ro said as Cade went to the passenger door.
