Ro and Kai slowed their pace, walking around a school bus. Ro was a few steps ahead of Kai, looking around the bus to see if there were any Decepticons around. She drew back when she saw one fly by. She looked back at Kai, taking a deep breath.
"I give you one thing to do. One thing to do! And you drop the ball on that?!" Epps snapped at his friends.
"I ain't signed up for all this! Got aliens blastin' at me, runnin' around, chasin' me! I'm duckin' through churches and buildings and all that kind of crap, man! This is bullshit! I ain't signed up for this, Epps!" Van sighed, shaking his head. "I'm tryin' to keep it together." Epps' friend said.
Kai turned when he heard something crash behind them. His arms wrapped around Ro as Soundwave was in their faces. "Ooh, what a treat! You and me alone!" Kai grabbed Ro's arm, pulling away from Soundwave as he tossed the bus onto its roof. Kai looked back before pushing Ro towards the bus to hide under it.
Ro looked around before moving towards the doors. She waved Kai forward, climbing onto the bus as Soundwave shouted for her. Ro didn't look back as Soundwave cut through the bus as her and Kai ran through it.
"Oh, I just love it when your little insect feet try to run!"
"Run!" Ro shouted as she ran in front of Kai. She quickly ran and hid behind the half-wall. Kai wasn't so lucky; he went to hide behind the dumpster, but Soundwave's fist came down on it. Kai fell backward, back pressed against the ground with Soundwave over him.
"Thought you were working for us, boy?!"
"I wouldn't say that," Kai said as he pulled his bag to the front of him. "I was blackmailed." Kai reached into the bag, pulling out the grappling hook thing from Que.
Ro peered around the half-wall to Kai.
Kai lifted his arm up. The grappling hook device went down his arm slightly before the hook popped out. Kai's aim wasn't the best as if it was his first time using one of Que's weapons. The hook attached to Soundwave's eye. "My eye!"
Ro's eyes widened as Kai shot straight up into the sky. "Shit!" Kai was yelling as he was tossed back and forth as Soundwave tried to break free of the hook. Kai was also trying to break free from the hook, yet Que thought of everything. Of course, he did – he was one of the genius Autobots they had.
Ro covered her heads as pieces of the building were flying as Soundwave continued to cry out in pain. She jumped when a car fell close to her. Kai was still trying to figure out how to break free from the hook. "Que, I'm gonna kill you!" Kai growled to himself as he yanked and tugged at the device on his hand.
Ro got onto her knees, looking at Kai.
"Ro!"
Ro turned her head, seeing Lennox running towards her. "Will, Kai used one of Que's toys! He's attached to Soundwave." Ro said as Lennox sat next to her.
