Kai arrived to the base, he arrived without Ro, which was concerning to every party involved. Kai was able to get changed into casual clothes, not caring about his captain status right now. The watch was still tight around his wrist, not easing the pain he felt. He saw Van and Olive sitting around, waiting for him to arrive with Ro. Andrew was walking around with some of the CIA agents that were called in for the chaos that was about to happen.

"You called for me?" Kai asked as he struggled to keep the Decepticon from exposing himself to what happened.

"Why are you out of uniform, Captain Moon?"

"It's casual Friday. AKA, I've had a rough night," he suddenly groaned in pain. He grabbed his arm, trying to keep himself from crying out. "You get this instead. Besides, my apartment was ransacked, my sister's Autobots were taken from my place. I'm lucky I was able to get these things on my body before I was shooed out of there." Kai said as he moved around Mearing. He moved his arm towards his head, allowing the Decepticon to see what they were doing.

"I have underestimated your girlfriend and her friends at every turn." Mearing stated.

"Oh good, you've come to your senses." Kai said sarcastically, not in the mood to deal with Mearing.

"They warned us that they were using humans. And they knew that Sentinel was the key." Mearing said.

"At least you understand now." Kai's fist clenched.

"Director!"

Kai kept his arm up by his neck, rubbing at it and scratching at the hair. He moved down the line of computers like he was supposed to. But at least Mearing was coming to her senses about what Ro, Olive, and Van knew. Kai saw his sister's expression – he couldn't even acknowledge his sister at the moment, it was too hard and the Decepticon would hurt him if he mentioned Ro.

He moved around the desks until he was standing next to Mearing. He felt the watch clamp down on his wrist. He struggled to breathe for a moment. Mearing looked over her shoulder at him. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, just fine." Kai panted out.

"You look in pain, Captain Moon."

"I'm fine, I swear." Kai really wanted Ro in his arms right now. He wanted to protect her - but right now, he had to be a good little soldier for Dylan fucking Gould and the fucking Decepticons. Kai could see his sister and Van growing more and more concerned with Kai's sudden change in behavior. Not to mention, he hadn't even spoken to them about Ro yet.

"Director, the Pentagon's calling in 15." Mearing assistant said.

Kai moved forward, scratching his face so the watch could see what else they were dealing with. Kai honestly hated every second of this – he felt like a puppet on strings with this fucking watch.
