It felt like old times.
Being in the living room of one of their homes, having a sleepover. The only difference was, the Autobots were in the living room with them. And Kai was previously abroad when they'd have these sleepovers.
Van felt uncomfortable sleeping when he knew that Kai and Ro were asleep right upstairs. The couch was extremely comfortable – and Ro's apartment was massive compared to his and Olive's. The high ceilings were perfect for Bee who was in the living room with Van and Olive. He was cleaning his cannons while he made sure that everyone was safe and sound in Ro and Kai's apartment.
He had been there plenty of times before.
Olive looked up at the ceiling, hands on her stomach. "I don't like the way Mearing spoke to Ro."
"Me neither." Van sighed, hanging his head. "God, she was a real bitch."
Olive rolled onto her stomach, looking up at Bee. "Do you like working for her, Bee?" Bee instantly shook his head. Olive chuckled softly. Van and Olive were unaware of the fact that Ro was up – unfortunately, the pregnancy insomnia had kicked in early, but also, Ro had a hard time sleeping after her "death." She was looking down at her friends, listening to their conversation about Mearing.
Ro took a deep breath, feeling a little sick to her stomach.
She started down the stairs to make herself some of that ginger tea.
Van looked up first when he heard someone coming down the stairs. "Can't sleep?" Ro asked softly. "Yeah, me neither." Ro wrapped the hoodie around her body. Van lowered his head.
"Why are you still up?"
"Insomnia. It just started kicking in." Ro said as she walked towards the kitchen. She opened the cabinet to grab the box of ginger tea.
"You are having problems sleeping?"
"Well, I did die. I have my issues too." Ro went to grab a pot, noticing her hand starting to shake. She clenched her fist, taking a deep breath before reaching down for the drawer to take another dose of her meds. Ro grabbed the bottle and opened it to take another pill. She popped it into her mouth and hoped her stomach would keep it down. She went back to start to make the tea. "Sparks, can you tell me when the tea's ready?" Ro asked as she walked into the living room where her friends were seated.
Olive grinned. "It's been a while since we've done this."
"It feels nice." Ro shivered with the hoodie on.
"Are you okay, Ro?" Van asked.
She nodded. "If you guys are planning anything, I'm gonna have to bow out."
"What, why?" Olive asked. Van and Olive had been discussing what they could do. They were going to talk it over with Ro in the morning, but now she was saying she wouldn't get involved. That was a first to Rosalind Cooper, and it was totally unlike her. "Is everything okay?"
