"I'll catch up with you next time."

That was the last thing I said before going inside the car, acting unbothered. But the truth is, my anxiety was giving me a lot of questions in my mind. What if Amare escorted me outside?

I might go crazy if that happens.

Despite my trembling hands and the tension I felt, I never bothered to meet Lucien's eyes, but I knew he was staring at me. I acted like I didn't notice his presence even my legs felt like they were going to fall off the floor.

Deep inside my heart, I was proud that I was going to see what was inside. His first work was a fortress of all the amazing architects and engineers.

I feel like I'm going to melt as soon as we enter the ground floor. The floor is made of marble. The walls are fiberglass. At the center of the building was a modern spiral white staircase made of white marble.
