Chapter - 28

(Y/Ns pov)

the next morning Daryl and I get up and dress for the day (outfit up top^) and we go outside with Rick, Carol, T-Dog so we can  start bring the cars inside the yard. Carol jumps in one to move the prison bus out of the way.

"Alright, let's get the other cars in. We'll park 'em in the west entry of the yard." Rick said

"Good. Our vehicles camped out there look like a giant "vacancy" sign!" Daryl said and I chuckle

"After that, we need to load up these corpses so we can burn them." Rick stats telling us the plan for the day.

"It's gonna be a long day..." T-dog huffs

"Can someone just kill me now I'll stand in the Ute to save you the effort of having to move me" I said jokingly, cause everyone to laugh 

"Where's Glenn and Maggie? We could use some help." Carol ask 

"Up in the guard tower." Daryl said pointing to the guard tower.

"Guard tower? They were just up there last night!" Rick ask confused and I just start laughing. We all look at the top of the guard tower.

"Glenn! Maggie!"Darly shouts out and a few seconds later Glenn comes out of the tower, he has no shirt on and is buttoning his pants and i am trying so hard to contain my laughter.

"Hey! What's up guys?" Glenn ask casually, and the others laugh at the sight of Glenn.

"You comin'?" Daryl shouts and I snorts and Daryls remark 

"What?" Glenn shouts, and we keep laughing.

"You comin'? Come on, we could use a hand!" Daryl said and I was a goner, i pissed myself laughing and the others were joining in on it.

"Yeah, we'll be right down!" Glenn said then he went back into the guard tower, while the 5 of us continued laughing, we tune around and start walking towards the cars as our laughter clears up.

"Hey Rick!" T-dog said gaining out attention, i look up and sees the two prisoners Axel and Oscar out of their cell block, walking towards us, and i see Rick start walking towards them.

"Come with me. " Rick said to us, "That's close enough. We had an agreement." Rick said once we got close to the prisoners

"Please, mister. We know that, we made a deal." Axel said as Glenn and Maggie then walk out of the Guard tower "But you gotta understand! We can't live in that place another minute, you follow me? All the bodies, people we knew! Blood, brains everywhere! There's ghosts!" Axel begs 

"Why don't you move the bodies out?" Daryl questions 

"You should be burning them." T-dog adds 

"We tried! We did!" Axel cries out 

"The fence is down on the far side of the prison. Every time we drag a body out, those things just line up. Dropping the body and just running back inside." Oscar informs us 

"Look! We had nothing to do with Thomas and Andrew, nothing! You trying to prove a point? You proved it, bro! We'll do whatever it takes to be a part of your group, just, please, please, don't make us live in that place!" Axel begs 

"Our deal is not negotiable. You either live in your cell block, or you leave." Rick tells them, i kinda feel bad for them, Oscar then turns to Axel 

"I told you this was a waste of time." the turns to Rick "They ain't no different than the pricks who shot up our boys. You know how many friends' corpses we had to drag out this week? Just threw 'em out like... Those were good guys! Good guys who had our backs against the really bad dudes in the joint like Thomas and Andrew. Now, we've all made mistakes to get in here, chief, and I'm not gonna pretend to be a saint, but believe me... we paid our due. Enough that we would rather hit that road, than to go back into that shithole." Oscar finishes, Rick then turns around and looks at Daryl, who slowly shakes his head no.
