The next morning

I wait up with my head on Daryl's shoulder with his arms wrapped around me, I felt so content at this point that I wanted to go back to sleep, my then open with realisation, it was morning, I slept the whole night which means I get to clear the courtyard, I an new found excitement running through me I unwrapped myself my Daryl quietly and walked over to the fence and started stretching loosening up my muscles and nearly bouncing up and down with excitement, I paced waiting for the other to wake up.

About half an hour later Tdog, Daryl, Rick, Maggie, Glenn and I were standing at the gate ready to go in, I has my swords and all my knives on me just incase I had taking my jacket off cause I wanted to be able to move freely , while Hershel, Carl, Carol, Lori and Beth try to draw as many of the walkers to the fence in order to stab them through the wire.

"Ready?" Hershel asked

Rick opens the door that leads to the courtyard. T-Dog enters and stabs a walker, Daryl, Rick, Maggie, Glenn and I enter as well. We when we got the plan was to stay in a circle to have each others backs but this was pissing me off so I look at Glenn, who was look at me, he stared at me wide-eyed and started shaking his head

"Don't do it Y/N"

"sorry" I took off to the opposite side of where the outside group was and stared taking out walkers while the others remained in the circle

"Y/n! get you ass back hear" someone yelled but I ignored them and keep taking out walker, once they were gone I walked back towards the other, when I turned the corner I see them all pressed against the wall for some odd reason, when I get there I see why, behind the corner was more walkers and walker in what looks like guard suits, Daryl tries to shoot one but it bounces off the guards helmet

I walk up to rick and Daryl, and help then hold back the walker

"Daryl!" ricks calls out, I turn too see rick push a guard on the ground , Daryl then runs over to help us kill the walkers on their way , and they manage to close the door of the courtyard. We then finish off the rest of the of the walker i had one walking right for me and so i twirl my swords and plugged the straight into the walker head slightly lifting it off the ground, before putting it back down and pulling my swords out, i see Maggie run over and life the face mask off the walker the stick a knife through it head, before i could move i see Daryl coming straight for me, with an unreadable expression

"ok before you get angry at me ." I started but was cut off with him bring me into a hug

"don't ya ever take off like that again, I was worried" he said then pulled back and i just nodded with a small smile on my face, i grabbed his hand and we walked over towards the others, Glenn was jogging over to the fence when Rick stopped him

"Stop."

"well it Looks secure." Glenn said in confusion

"Not from the looks of that courtyard over there, and thats a civilian." Daryl said pointing the civilian body

"yeah and there is another one in with the other walkers' i added look over to the women in the fenced off area bashing on it with the rest of them

"So the interior could be over run by walkers from outside the prison." T-dog questioned

Well, if theres walls, then, what are we gonna do? We cant rebuild this whole place."

"Glenn you need to think more positive, if there down we need to see which ones are, there could be a cell block we could all stay in we just need to go in and figure out which ones are safe" i say to him
