Just as Omera promised, the trio got to her village by nightfall.

By the time they did though, Ell was on the verge of shutting down. To her dismay, Poe was carrying the majority of their weight as she leaned heavily against him. She felt him tighten his hand again around her waist, trying to get a better grip on the android so she didn't trip. It probably would have been easier for him to pick her up at that point, but he wasn't about to do that until she physically couldn't attack him for it.

Not that Poe thought she seriously would...but he wasn't about to take any chances.

As Omera led them through the outskirts of her village, many of the other villagers looked up from their work to stare at them. Most of them were knee-deep in marsh, farming for krill and trimming the underwater plants. They wore varying combinations of teal and gray outfits made from rough cloth. It was obvious the village didn't get outsiders very often, or maybe when they did, they weren't friendly. Either way, Ell was much more focused on not collapsing on the dirt path.

"Here it is," Omera took them into a smaller cluster of huts.

The outside was made almost entirely of the same plants that the villagers farmed in, their strong stalks providing a sturdy roof. Inside though, there were durasteel beams supporting the structure and a few scattered pieces of technology. One of them was the charging port in the corner.

Warning: life support systems operating at five percent.

At three percent, she'd shut down and couldn't be woken up without a sufficient power or blood supply. They'd gotten to it just in time.

Poe nodded his thanks to Omera as he helped Ell lower herself onto the durasteel floor. She was breathing heavily, but managed to find the plug and yanked it up to the back of her neck. A panel opened above the Cestus Cybernetics logo and she swiftly plugged herself in. For a moment, nothing happened.

And then,

Warning: life support systems operating at six percent.

She breathed a sigh of relief, it was working and that's all that mattered. Ell finally allowed herself to lean her head back against the cool walls. She didn't have the energy at the moment to do much else.

"We can't thank you enough, Omera," Poe turned to the woman who was staring at Ell again with curiosity.

"Oh, well," She shrugged, giving him a tentative smile, "You needed help."

Even at her low power, the android had a hard time piecing together that line of logic. It was so interesting how organics thought and yet...something stirred in her chest at Omera's thoughtful words.
