17/ My Co-worker's Straight Husband

Win's POV

We decided to finalise the plan within one week, although we realised that the plan was really risky and there would be a lot of processes to reach our final goal. The first person to agree to this plan was me.

Bright's explanation went as this:

He laid out his plan with much hesitation as what unwrapped was a complicated plan: "Your parents find it suspicious about our friendship because of Film. She's an employee at the far end of the company who's not required to have a close relationship with the CEO. But I won't be suspected because I am also a manager here. So our first step is to eliminate the suspension by becoming and showing the world that we are close through an engagement. Preferably, living together will be fine," he said.

I blinked at his words.

"When Film and I live together, they won't question our friendship or closure. No one can make any claims about it. That way, we will be seen as family friends in a society where the two girlfriends and the two boyfriends are close. We can even go on double dates as straight couples."

"That's where step number two comes in." he opened his file and pulled out a paper that looked as big as the whiteboard. He clipped it on the board, which had a sketch of straight lines and looked like a housing plan.

"You knew about my new apartment complex project, right?" Bright asked Love. Being an architect, although he works under Love's company, he gets many solo projects outside because of his talent. He did tell me about the new building project.

"Yeah." Love nodded.

"I bought two apartments in the building that are next to each other," he said. "Look here," he pointed at the two similar particles in the diagram. "These two are two apartments right next to each other. They are similar in design."

We nodded at his words.

"I personally customised these two to my liking. This area is the main bedroom, here the guestroom and the two washrooms inside the rooms. This side is the kitchen, and here is the living room. The kitchen can be seen from the living room and anywhere in the apartment, and it's a modern trend. I hope you like it. Then again, the unique part is the main bedroom doesn't have a closet." he said.

He pointed at the separated line between the two apartments, the wall that separates the two parts. He pointed at the square drawn on it.

"I have moved the closet here, passing the living room. Although it looks a bit strange, the actual design is perfect. So the closet here. The other apartment closet is right behind this closet. The secret is. There's a door that links the two apartments. It's hidden in the closet." he said.

Then continued, "This left apartment is Love's and Film's. The right one belongs to Win and me. I added thicker blinds to our apartment since you don't like sunlight." he said to me.

Aww.

"Anyway. Once Film and I enter the left apartment together for the world, Love and Win will enter the other apartment. Then-"

"We switch." I pointed out.

"Exactly. I would come to the right apartment. Love would shift to the left apartment. The most important shit is the shared closet again. Because this way, we don't have to make a mess out of the clothes. Since the closet has a shared door, Love's clothes can still be in the right apartment, along with Win's. Even when she lives in the left apartment, she can get her clothes due to the linked closet door." he said.
