Win's POV
I attend the meeting throughout the first hour and sigh as I press, end meeting. I close the laptop and lean against my chair. My stomach grumbles, asking for food, but I decide not to leave and go outside because how am I supposed to face Bright?
I spend my time in the room reading a book for an hour before I decide that I should eat. I open the door slightly and sneak outside. I notice Love in her office room, alone, and Bright is nowhere to be seen. I assume that he might be in the room near the bookshelf, where I cannot see him.
So with a breath of relief, I walk into the kitchen, where I start making myself a little something.
From last night's waffle batter, I decided to beat it a bit and use the leftovers so I could dip them in honey and eat to forget about all this embarrassment, sadness and confusion.
I make around five waffles, hungry as ever and sit on the kitchen counter. I put some honey on the waffles next to me and take one to eat.
The honey drips down my chin to my shirt as I eat. So I look around for a tissue. I don't even notice Bright, who enters the kitchen to see me like that.
"That's a nice way of eating." he takes a tissue from the counter and hands it over to me.
I quickly wipe my lips and the shirt.
"Oh, you," I mumble. Then I remember the fact that he is now aware of the secret behind our fake marriage. "Umm. hungry?" I ask.
"Not really. I came for a glass of water, only to see you eating like this. Like Pooh bear." he says.
"I didn't know I was that fat." I look down at my stomach.
"Let's only take that bear's positive factors."
"What might they be?"
"Likes sweet things and cute," he says.
"Great."
He drinks water while looking at me. Literally looking at me without batting his eyelashes. He keeps on looking at me, and I feel self-conscious.
"What's up?" I ask.
"Love told me about your marriage," he says.
"Mm-hmm. What do you think?" I ask.
"I know her parents. They are so strict and... might as well kill their daughter in order to protect their dignity. So the arrangement is understandable." he says.
"Mine is worse than her parents. My brother used to like guys, and my parents hired a man to kill his boyfriend. He cut ties with us due to the great disappointment and completely went out of my life." I say.
"Is that... is that legal? Killing a person?" he asks, looking innocent as ever.
"When did murdering become legal?" I question back with a little laugh.
"Right..."
He keeps the glass aside and looks at me again, "So, for how long are you going to be in this marriage?" he asks.
"We haven't... thought about it." I look down at my hands.
"Love said that you are aware... that she likes Film from our company."
"Yeah... I know."
"You two are old now. You can divorce or something and be with the one you want to be with," he says.
"You don't understand the complication behind this. There had been very dark incidents in the past due to homosexuality in our family. Someone had committed suicide as well. I don't know much regarding the facts. That's why. If they get to know about it, it's not going to be the same again. Plus, Love and I are so scared to even try anything." I say.
