While driving home, with Abby looking out of the back window of the car, you get a call. You pick up your phone, still focusing on the road. Mike was calling. You answer, only to hear him with the same warm happy voice he always had around you. "I- I got the job!" You smiled as you could somehow hear his smile through the phone. "That's great, Mike! I'm happy for you." You say, and he starts to say in a gentle tone,
"Hey...[Y/N]?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you. I love you so much, you've helped me a lot."
You blushed. Mike is always teasing you and joking around, and he's always thankful to you, but you've never heard him say that he loves you before.

"Mike, I'll always be there for you whenever you need me."
He laughs over the phone and says,"Well, me too. Speaking of being there for each other, I heard about your breakup with Aiden on the last day of college. Why didn't you tell me?"
You sigh.
