"What are you doing here?" I ask

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"What, I can't come and see my girl at work?" Anatoly asks.

"I'm not your girl." I state.

"Not yet."

"What can I get you?" I ask, taking my notepad out.

He smirks and I roll my eyes.

"I don't know. I only came here for you." He admits, picking up the menu.

"Well you can't only stay here for me."

"I'm sure your boss wouldn't mind." He says, his eyes settling on something behind me.

I turn to see what he's looking at and see Kamari sat at the bar, suspiciously looking at the other side of the room. She was most likely looking at us and got caught by Anatoly.

"I'll have some fries." Anatoly settles on.

"Just fries?" I ask.

"Yes."

"Weirdo." I mumble.

Anatoly raises his eyebrows. "Do you often call your customers weirdos?" He asks.

"No." I state, grabbing his menu. "Only the ones who are weirdos." I walk into the kitchen to give the chef his small order.

When I come back out of the kitchen Kamari has moved and instead Jasper is sat in her place. His head is slumped down on the counter and is rested on his arms.

"What's up?" I ask, playfully tapping his head with the menus in my hands.

He raises his head to look at me. His eyes are barely open and he looks like he's struggling to stay awake.

"Need caffeine." He says, letting his head carelessly fall back onto the table. His head, even though shielded by his arms, makes a loud thud as it goes down.

"Late night?" I ask.

"The dog next door was barking again all fucking night and all morning." He says but it's muffled by the table. "I'll be glad when they finally move."

"There's still like a month left until they're leaving." I state, making up a coffee for him.

Jasper lifts his head to glare at me. "Don't remind me." He says as I hand him his coffee. He takes a long drink of it and seems to relax.

"You know, you can always stay at my place." I offer.

"But I like my place," He takes another sip. "Just not the annoying neighbours that come with it."

"You could take a nap at my house." I add.

"I don't think I'd make it there I'm so tired. I'm going to need a few more of these." He says motioning to his coffee.
