Where the hell is my husband?
...and my son for that matter.
They seem to have disappeared. I think that if I find one, I'll find them both.
"I guess it's just you and me." I say looking down at my baby girl. She's just peacefully awake in her cot, blinking in the new world her.
Alora is only a month old. Anatoly has been continuously by side since her birth and the months leading up to it which makes it even more strange that he's disappeared on me.
Alora makes a cute baby noise and I smile.
"Hi baby." I say putting my hand within her grasp. She wraps her tiny, fragile fingers around my baby finger and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen in my entire life.
"You're so cute." I tell her.
After a few minutes of watching Alora, I decided to go and search for my missing husband and child.
"Can I have my finger back yet?" I ask my baby.
When I eventually get her to let go of my finger, I pick her up from her crib. She starts crying so I give her a pacifier and comfortingly pat her on the back while holding her close to me.
Her head rests on my shoulder and she seems to settle into a relaxed state so I make my move to find Anatoly and Aiyden.
"Anatoly?" I say as I walk into a the living room, the empty living room. "I guess he's not here." I talk aloud to Alora. "Maybe he's in his office." I state and she blinks at me in response. I don't think she really understands what I'm saying but it helps their development if you talk to them anyway.
I take Alora into Anatoly's office but he's not here.
This room has changed a lot since having a new born baby. There's a play pen in the corner of the room with toys scattered inside it. Anatoly got a new, comfier sofa in here so when he needs to work Aiyden or I can also hang out in here if we want. There's also a door leading to the room next door which is my away office for the work that needs to be done for the Russian Mafia. He insisted on having a door leading directly to it so that he could see me whenever he wanted.
Anatoly has practically all of the same businesses papers and things in here only now there's a lot more children stuff, including a few books for Aiyden to sit and read. And unlike before, Anatoly keeps his mafia related things locked away in a drawer away from prying child eyes. We've made the rule that the kids are only allowed in our offices when we are in there, that way we can control what they do or don't see. At any other time, the doors are locked.
Anatoly even got a window put in his office. It currently sits above the sofa. Alora's play pen was originally underneath the window but she kept tugging on the floor length curtains and almost pulled them down so she had to be moved.
