I've been thinking a lot about what Anatoly said last night.

He suggested that I become the leader of the Russian Mafia but I don't know the first thing that the job entails. I mean Anatoly is my husband and I want to live with him. Could I be the leader of the Russians and live in Spain? I don't really understand what it means to be in charge.

Anatoly had way more preparation than I probably ever will. He was preparing his whole life to be don.

The Russian Mafia was what he wanted more than anything and now that the only obstacle is out of his way, he can have it but now he doesn't want it.

I'm really confused. I don't know what's changed or why.

"Antatoly." I say, looking at him sat on the opposite sofa.

"Yeah?" He asks me.

"Why don't you want to be don of the Russian Mafia?" I question.

"I already have the Spanish Mafia to run." He states. "I wouldn't be able to give both my full attention."

"But you grew up in Russia, the Russian Mafia is all you've ever wanted."

"I've realised that it's not everything I've ever wanted. Dreams change and running the Spanish Mafia is what I want now. I have a good thing going here and I'm happy with what I have." He states.

"But why do you think I should run it?" I ask.

"Because you're smart, brave, a born leader. The mafia could do with more people with the views you have. Some of them don't deserve to be in power but you do."

"What is a mafia leader even meant to do?" I ask.

"Well it depends on what kind of a person you are. For you it would mainly be about leadership. You'd be in charge of all the good or bad decisions made. You'd be the one that the responsibility rests on. There's a lot of power that comes with it so it's important it's in the right hands." Life and death responsibility, something I'm familiar with.

"Won't it put Aiyden in more danger?" I ask.

"He's already in our world it's not like you'd be putting him in it." He states. "Plus nobody would particularly have to know who he is."

"Would I be able to stay here with you?" I ask. Blaine runs the Italian Mafia and yet he lives in America. It must be possible, right?

"Of course. You'd be the one in charge. Everyone lives by your rules."

"So why did you move to Spain when you took over?" I question.

Anatoly shrugs. "I had no reason not to. I figured why not."

"But won't the Russians reject me considering I killed their last leader?" Not exactly a good first impression, then again what do I know?

"That will probably make them like you more. They'll consider you worthy as you bested Mikhail. Plus he wasn't really the type of boss you like or really get close to. He was too authoritative when he didn't need to be."
