Ji-Hoon
As I walked away from her, I looked at my hand. The one that I used to touch her forehead and noticed that my cheeks felt warm. Why did I do that? I shook my head. I never thought she'd be the shy type. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover.
I made it to the other side of the restaurant and-
"I see you came earlier than last time."
I turned my head and noticed that Mr. Moon was talking to me. I rolled my eyes. Why did it look like he deliberately hid out of view so that he could look cool while calling me out? Well, if cool had an alternative meaning.
"But you're still late," he added with a look of annoyance. "I'll report you to the owner of this restaurant. He's a good friend of mine you know." He said with a proud look on his face, and I walked past him. "Go ahead."
"What did you just say?"
I ignored him and continued walking. I knew for a fact that he was bluffing. Even if he wasn't, I don't care.
"Hey! Come back here," he said but I ignored him.
Amalia
The chauffeur dropped me off at the hotel and I stepped out. I thanked the driver and turned around before frowning. There he was, walking towards me with his hand holding his tablet. It was like that tablet had a signature look.
"Amalia, where were you? I searched for you everywhere-"
"I went for breakfast."
"So you went to eat outside the restaurant?"
"Is there a problem with that?"
"Of course there is. You know you're the type to forget about your image and do stuff that might harm it. Where did you go?"
"I don't think I have to tell you where I am at all times."
"...Yes. Yes, you do."
I pouted without realizing it. "I went to a restaurant not far from here."
He narrowed his eyes at me before raising his eyebrows. "You went to the restaurant where that guy works?!"
I closed my eyes because he was so loud. "So, what if I went there? I didn't want to sit next to you, let alone be in the same building as you because you're always nagging at me. Besides, I had to make a reservation before seating in other spots."
"So you went to a restaurant where someone who could be a creep works in? What if he ends up stalking you?"
"That won't happen."
"And how sure are you exactly?"
I rolled my eyes at him and proceeded to walk past him. I spotted the car and walked towards it before stopping in my tracks.
"If you were here earlier, I would've told you that I hired a new driver," he said.
I turned around to look at him and raised my eyebrows like I was challenging him.
"What happened to Mr. Harris?"He let out a sigh and pushed up his spectacles "Who would want to come back after what you just did? I won't be shocked if he ends up suing you."
I glared at him as he walked past me and towards the car before reluctantly following him.
I entered the car and he entered soon after, sitting by the passenger seat as I sat at the back. I saw all the other staff members enter their cars as they saw me.
"Let's go Mr. Han." Mr. Jones said, and we drove out of the premises as the staff members followed us.
I pulled out my phone and scrolled boredly. I was going to get my makeup professionally done for the party at 7 pm. I was quite honored to be invited. The party was to celebrate a chaebol's birthday. Which meant that they would be celebrities such as actors, musicians, models, and other influential people. The party was hosted by the son of a wealthy businessman.
