Ae-Ri
"Why don't we go to Paris when our mothers come back? I'm deeply in need of a little vacation." one of my friends Hana said as she stretched her arms.
"That's so random." my other friend Duri said as she laughed. Hana and Duri were twins. We have known each other since we were babies. Our mothers were best friends from childhood and are still best friends. Their mother and my mother decided to open an art gallery together and right now it's a large gallery in Gangnam.
And I am the heiress to the Art Gallery.
Currently, we were managing the gallery because both our mothers were overseas for a business trip.
"How about we go to Paris and then go to New York the next day? I was invited to the fashion week." Duri added as she took a sip of her iced americano.
"Ugg stop bragging. I got invited there too. I heard that Amalia was invited too but her schedule was already full. I was hoping to see her." Hana said and I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Did you hear that Amalia's moving here?" Duri asked and Hana nodded.
"But what about the article that was released earlier today?" Hana said and she shook her head and so did Duri. She then looked at me curiously.
"Ae-Ri, you were at the party, right? That means you saw her. Is what the people are saying true? Did Amalia have a panic attack or was she just drunk?"
We made it to the entrance of the main office, and I stopped walking and turned to them. "Does the video not explain itself?" I asked as I folded my arms and they both raised their eyebrows.
"Sheesh, we were just asking. I mean, I'm just shocked, Amalia is such a pretty woman, it's a shame that she suffers from such a thing. I hope she recovers." Duri replied and Hana nodded in agreement.
I folded my arms as I glared at them "You haven't even met her before. You don't know who she is." I responded and they both stared back at me in confusion.
"What do you mean" Duri asked and I shook my head. She was a bully-"
"Oh, come on Ae-Ri-"
"Those aren't my words. I heard it from someone at the party."
"What?!" They both asked simultaneously, and I nodded.
"He also said she was a pick me. Now that I think about it. It kind of connects all the dots. Like it explains why she acted that way."
"Are you referring to..."
"Yeah, it's about Choi Yeon-Jae."
"But how did she even get the chance to talk to him? That makes no sense." Hana said and I nodded.
"He had his arm around her waist, and she was gazing into his eyes like this was some drama or something. How could she do that to a man that's taken?"
"Well, it's not entirely her fault. Isn't Choi Yeon-Jae using a different name and identity until he gets revealed to be the second son of the chairman? She probably didn't know-"
"Okay fine. But she found out who he really was at the party and still tried to sway him. He dropped her at her hotel and the next day she tried to give him back his coat at the restaurant. Isn't that more than enough for me to dislike her?"
They both looked at each other with a concerned look visible on their face and then looked back at me.
"She did that? I didn't know it was that bad. But...that only means one thing." Hana said and I narrowed my gaze at her.
