I blinked a few times and wiped my eyes, thinking that I was imagining the whole thing because there was no way that Yeon-Jae was literally outside my front door.

He looked around before leaning in. I noticed that he liked doing that for some reason.

"Are you not going to let me in?"

I immediately waved my hands in the air and moved aside, allowing him to enter my apartment.

I then closed the door while tilting my head in confusion.

As I turned around to look at him and noticed that he was close to me. So close that my nose brushed his chest.

"W-what are you doing here?"

He shrugged before waving the plastic bag in front of my face...again.

"Aren't you hungry? Let's eat first," he said and I raised my eyebrow suspiciously.

"You're going to eat with me? First of all, what are you doing here? And second, you came all the way here to give me food?"

"Fine, I'll answer the first question. To be honest, I came here because I thought you might feel a bit lonely today. Especially in such a big apartment."

"Really? So you took some time to buy some food for me and came here in your free time at such a late time because you thought I was lonely?" I asked sarcastically and he sighed in defeat.

"Okay fine, Mr Jones called me. He was worried that you might not have anything to eat once you got here so he asked me if I was free to come."

I folded my arms at him, still suspicious about the whole situation. "And you're the only one who could come?"

"The others are busy. Mina is filming in Busan, Min-soo is only finishing up now and Yeon-jin is in the US for a meeting. And that just leaves me."

I nodded slowly as I tried to comprehend what he was saying. First of all, Mr Jones was really sweet for worrying about what I'd eat when I landed. But did he have to call Yeon-Jae?

He looked around again and smiled." Nice place you got here. Where can I put the food?"

I slowly raised my hand and pointed to the kitchen. He nodded and headed there, placing the food on the island before beckering me to join and I did so.

As he opened the plastic, I noticed that it wasn't takeout but homemade food which honestly shocked me. He then opened the lunch boxes one by one and my eyes widened.

"Woah. These look delicious. Who made it?"

"Me."

I glanced at him and squinted my eyes. "You made this? You can cook?"

He nodded nonchalantly and I folded my arms.

"Who taught you how to cook? You're a chaebol, don't you have chefs or--- Oh."

"Figured it out?" he asked while smirking and I nodded as I held my tongue with my teeth.

That was such a dumb question. He was practically on his own and didn't receive any shares from his family's company, empire, or whatever. So of course he had to teach himself how to cook, that was the least he could do to be independent.

Now the real question was, how did it taste?

I looked at him, waiting for him to give me the go-ahead so that I could eat. He chuckled a bit before handing me the chopsticks.

I gladly took them and immediately went for a bite-

It. Was. Really. Delicious.

Without realizing it, I found myself devouring the food. Maybe it was delicious or I was just hungry but I was satisfied all right.
