So I published two chapters, this one and Inner Child, but I noticed that my readers didn't see this episode, so I unpublished Inner Child because Inner Child wouldn't make sense without this chapter. I'll re-upload it after a few minutes.

Thanks for understanding and enjoy this episode :)

Amalia
A week later

I made my way down the stairs in a hurry, only to find the kitchen empty. My heart sank. For the past week, I haven't seen Yeon-Jae and he hasn't spoken to me too. He was still trending all over the internet because of his looks and the fact that he was the heir; however, a part of me wasn't too happy about it.

He must be extremely busy for him not to even come in the mornings. I found myself sighing as I walked back up the stairs. "Whatever," I mumbled, attempting to console myself. That didn't matter at the moment anyway. I was finally meeting up with my manager because my comeback was in two days.

As I did my makeup, I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. It's been too long since I last performed on stage, and I've missed that elating feeling. I'm also thrilled about embracing my Korean heritage through my music. I hope people will be as enthusiastic about it as I am.

But as I put the brush down, I couldn't shake off the thought that my comeback would mean being away from home for quite some time. Talk shows, stage performances, and meetings with different brands for deals will make me too busy, leaving time to only be at home to sleep. The thought of not being able to see Yeon-Jae during this time saddened me. I unexpectedly find myself missing him randomly.

Urgh, I wish I could stop thinking about him.

I took a deep breath, trying to convince myself that it was okay. After all, we're not even dating. Why should I care about not seeing him? It was not like he felt the same way. I shook my head in frustration as I looked at my reflection, trying to push those thoughts away and focus on my work.

I finished applying my lipstick, took a deep breath, and set off to meet up with my manager.

As I looked around the restaurant, a waiter walked up to me. "Are you Amalia Omora?" he asked and I nodded while removing my sunglasses. He bowed and gestured for me to follow him. "This way, ma'am," he said, and I raised my eyebrows and followed him.

He led me to a table where a woman with short hair and a suit sat. The waiter bowed again and left. She looked up at me with a warm smile and stood up. It was my Manger. I remembered her face from the online meeting we had.

She bowed swiftly, much to my surprise as my eyes widened. She took a long, deep breath in, "Good morning. I'm Ko Yuna. Nice to finally meet you." she said and I looked around and noticed that people were staring at us. I forced a smile and placed my hands on her shoulders to make her stand up straight, "It's nice to meet you too. You don't have to bow like that." I said and she stood up straight and slowly nodded.

We stood there for a few awkward seconds before she broke the silence and pointed to the chair, "Have a seat. I ordered some tea and dessert for you." she said and I nodded.

As we sat, she cleared her throat, "So, Miss Omora--"

"You don't have to be so formal with me. It'll make things less awkward." I said as I took a huge bite of the cake, and she nodded.

"Well, Amalia, I've already prepared your schedule for the upcoming month."

I shrugged, "That's cool... I guess."
