"All right!" Miss Jenn clapped her hands, getting the nervous students to slowly quiet down as she begun her auditions speech. "As you all know, this year's auditions will be a two-step process. One, a group vocal warm-up to the classic song Belle, and two, a song of your choice. Whatever shows off you the best."
Kourtney, Ashlyn and Gracie gave each other knowing smiles. They had about an hour to prepare themselves for the auditions, but the pushed through and they were confident with their abilities to make sure it was a stand out song.
"Okay. Circle up. Take your neighbor's hand," Miss Jenn instructed. Everyone followed her lead grabbing each other's hands and forming a circle. "For a moment of silent reflection."
Gracie should've known that something was going to happen to break through the silence. However hearing Miss Jenn starting to sing, again, caught her off gaurd.

Miss Jenn was cut off before she could hit the last note by Ricky walking through the door. The door squeaking as it closed behind him.
"I thought you said he wasn't coming," Blake whispered to her, without taking his glare off of Ricky.
Gracie shrugged. "I guess he changed his mind."
Gracie heard an annoyed sigh leave Blake before he muttered to himself. "Shit."

The warm-up for the audition were quick, but not uneventful. Gracie spend most of if cheering on everyone around her, wanting them to do the best they could.
She gave reassuring looks to Big Red as he tried to hide behind his sheet music. She gave two thumbs up to Ashlyn as she killed the Belle solo. She giggled at Carlos's unimpressed expression as sang as Gaston. She nodded at Ricky as started to get the tempo of the song down.
She could help but feel proud watching each and everyone of her friends as they sang their hearts out, with the hope that they get the part they wanted.
As they hit the last note as a group and the music faded out, applause filled in the silence as the friends looked at each other with big smiles on their faces.
"All right, all right," Miss Jenn grinned at the group of students in front of her. "I have already learned so much. That's it for the warm up. Please prepare your individual songs."
"You guys ready to be the most amazing girl group ever?" Ashlyn asked, looking between Kourtney and Gracie.
