"Gracie," Big Red slammed her locker shut just as she was opening it, "did you see that there was a homecoming dance this year?"

"You mean the homecoming dance they have every year?" Gracie pointed out, starting to put in her locker combination again. "No, I didn't see that."

"Wanna know what I'm thinking?" Big Red asked as she got her locker open again.

"You're going to ask a girl?" she grabbed her books from her locker.

"No, who do you think I am?" Big Red scoffed. "I'm thinking that you, Ricky and I should go as a group. Just have fun. Get all the chaos out of our heads for one night."

"Well, I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen," Gracie thought out loud. "I see the dance as an opportunity for Ricky to try to win Nini back."

"Oh, I didn't think of that. That's good," Big Red's eyes lit up.

"Guys," Ricky called out, walking up to them still wearing his pajamas from last night.

"Speaking of which," Gracie said as Ricky met up with them. "Hey, everything okay? Your in your pajamas."

"Yeah," Ricky voice went higher, "They were too comfy today. So, what's going on?"

The two friends looked at each other trying to figure out what to say. Gracie spoke up for them. "We were just talking about the homecoming dance and how this is a good opportunity for you to ask Nini out."

"Um..." the boys expression faltered. "I don't know. I probably won't do that."

Gracie shut her locker and the three of started to walked down the hallway.

"Dude, we're just saying, this is your chance," Big Red tried to hype him up but Ricky did nothing of the sort.

"The last thing I'm gonna do is ask Nini to homecoming on the day of the dance," Ricky shook his head.

"But she's now single," Gracie pointed out.

"And ready to mingle," Big Red added.

"Yeah!" Ricky nodded not looking too happy. "And I had to hear it from Ashlyn, who heard it from Seb. I'm telling you, Nini hardcore friend-zoned me."

"Then ask her as friends," Big Red suggested. "We can all hang out together! Like the good old days."

"Okay, so now what?" Gracie asked. "What about the plan? Are we forgetting about it or...?"

Ricky thought for a second. "No," he answered, sounding unsure of choice. "But we are putting it on hold for right now. Just for a little bit anyway."

RICKY:
So it's been a little bit since that night at Gracie's house. And ever since I've been a little confused about things. And ever since Gracie has been pushing me more to go after Nini.
