RACE DAY: Sebastian has been in Japan since Media Day, but ever since the bee hotel opening, he had yet to see his niece when they are at the paddock. So, like a caring uncle that he is, he was looking for him.
But there may be a reason why he can't seem to meet with Mia. He was at Ferrari and Mia was of course at McLaren. This race week, he was expecting to at least get to see his niece at the paddock.
But he did not.
It was normal but it was her birthday weekend. So, despite wanting to stay in Ferrari, he walked to McLaren.
When he walked to the garage, he was welcomed by the team, already knowing why the former racer was there. They pointed to where the best friends were. He chuckled when he realized that Lando was pouting, seeming to have started to ask something to Mia, but his niece was standing her ground like she always has.
He neared them and it was Lando who was first to notice him. He grinned, "Seb!" he said happily. This made Mia turn, she smiled as her best friend greeted her uncle. It was a rocky start for Seb to accept Lando. He knew he was a good person and an amazing driver, but it was his niece. She didn't really have a great childhood along with Mich but as he observed the two of them growing, he realized how good they were to each other.
After greeting Lando, Seb turned to his niece and raised an eyebrow at her, crossing his arms, "Where have you been?" he asked. Mia looked at him with a chuckle, "Uh- here. Where else would I be?" she asked.
Seb sighed, "Can I at least give my niece a hug?" he asked. Mia smiled and walked to him, into his open arms. He hugged her tightly, "You okay Ames?" he whispered. She hummed and nodded, "Why wouldn't I be?" she answered with a whispered question.
He kissed her head, "I saw the videos and pictures. I know-" "Not now Seb. Please." She begged. Seb hummed and nodded, "Well, I'll be watching the race with the others. Mia?" he asked.
Mia smiled, "I think I'll stay here." She said. He playfully rolled his eyes, "Of course you are. Good luck on the race." He said as he said his goodbyes to Lando.
Once the two were left alone again, Lando stood behind her. She turned to him, "You do your best, like you always do." She said and he nodded.
Wrapping his arms around her, "I will. I have to impress you." She chuckled and shook her head, pulling away, she smiled at him, "You never have to impress me Lando Norris."
"You deserve the best Amelia Vettel. And if that means me impressing you, then so be it."
