Zaratorio: The Story Continues

Capa takes pride in her work as a barista. It is not simply a question of making good coffee, but also knowing something about her customers, without being too nosy.
However, her intimate encounters with Jennifer and Lauren have created a dilemma; just how much interest should she take in the operations of the Slavic Institute for Studying the Paranormal? After all, she has been sworn to secrecy regarding the very existence of the organisation, and so she errs on the side of formality and caution when serving Anna Roland and the mysterious Frenchwoman, Catherine, with coffee and pampushky.
'Nice to see you, Anna. Don't hesitate to ask if there is anything else you require ...'
Catherine smiles.
'Yes ... it's all very nice, thank you ...'
As Capa withdraws, Anna begins to steer the conversation towards the subjects that have been troubling her.
'Holopath1 is teaching you very well – hardly any trace of an accent.'
'Mercés plan ... Merci ... Thank you very much, Anna.'
'I think that because of the rather mysterious way in which you reached Kyiv, you were never really briefed on the work of the Institute. Even when we established that you were not one of Zaratorio's spies, you have simply been expected to fit in.
There are so many mysteries in the time vortex, we really don't know how, or why, you were sent to join us.'
'That's true ... although Holo1's databases are very useful ...'
'Of course ... but let me try to outline the most salient points – because otherwise it is very easy to lose sight of the woods, given that there are so many trees!'
'Although not on the Ukrainian steppes ...'

'So Rod, does it worry you that these modern chrono-scientists are looking for us?'
