Harry's POV

I knew I made the right decision leaving Michael in charge of Phoenix. Calum had a girlfriend and Luke was her ex, so they were both out. I guess I just liked Michael's personality when he was around Phoenix.

Phoenix's POV

I didn't know Michael super well, but I liked his hair, and he made me laugh.

"So, whatcha gonna do?" Michael asked me as I followed him to their dressing room.

Luke and Calum were off somewhere else, and it sounded like Ashton was making a video from his place on the couch.

"And, well lookie there. It's Michael. And Phoenix," he said, drawing our attention to the screen in his hand.

"Hi guys," Michael made some sort of cheesy face while I just waved.

"She's just chilling with us. Harry's going to have our hides if she leaves, so yeah. Hope everybody enjoyed the concert!" Ashton finished the video and posted it to whatever social media he was on.

"I hate seeing my face on video," I curled up on the other couch that was in the dressing room.

"Don't say that. You're beautiful on camera," Ashton spoke up.

"And it looks like the comments have doubled, if not tripled, because you made an appearance," Michael looked up from his phone to where I was curled up.

At that moment, Luke and Calum walked in, each carrying some drinks in their hands.

"Hey Ashton. Michael. Phoenix," Luke said as he yanked his shirt off after setting his drinks down.

I turned over and faced the back of the couch. I was tired and a bit clingy, but I couldn't be clingy around these lads.

"You alright, Phoenix?" Calum called out from the mirror where he was fixing his hair.

"I'm fine," I groaned out. This spot was really comfortable, and I had to half-roll onto my back to answer Calum.

"No, she's not," Luke replied from behind the closed bathroom door.

I forced myself to sit up against the arm of the loveseat.

"I'm fine. I really am," I said, more for Michael's benefit.

"No, you're not," Luke said as he came out of the bathroom.

"I'm sitting up, breathing, and carrying on a conversation. I think it's safe to say I'm okay," I snapped back.

"So what would happen if I were to, by chance, mention the name of Niall Horan?" he countered oh-so-nonchalantly.

The tension became so thick, it could physically be felt as face hardened into a blank look.

"Luke, can I say something?" Ashton began to say, until Calum cut him off.

"You are such a fucking dick! How in the world could you be so insensitive? You know they recently broke up!" Calum exclaimed.

"Can I slap him?" I asked before anyone else could say anything.

No one objected, so I rose to slap him.

"Michael, get ready by the door," I ordered.

He moved into position.

I slapped Lucifer Hemmings on the cheek so hard, my hand print was beginning to form, and there would  probably be some bruising in the morning. Then, I walked out and headed to my own dressing room, where I knew Payrin would be. I could talk about Luke with her and Michael.

"Can I just say that I'm glad Luke and I are down?" I exhaled as I opened the dressing room door, Michael following in behind me.

"What did he do this time?" Payrin looked up from her phone, giving me a questioning look as to why Michael had followed me.

"He has to. Luke frigging had the NERVE to bring up my ex-boyfriend," I replied, first answering her unspoken question about Mikey.

"Exhibit A of how Lucifer is a douche," Payrin sighed, tapping away at her phone.

"Your room kinda looks like ours," Michael commented.

"Yeah, except the conversations are probably funnier, and there's a lot more hair and makeup stuff in here. It's easier for them to come to me," I answered, curling up in the loveseat like before.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Michael asked cautiously.

"Go away, Luke," I groaned. If he was going to this, then I was going to kick him out of the dressing room. It didn't matter what Harry said.

At that moment, Liam poked his head in.

"Oh good. You're both here," he said to us.

"Haz, I found them. They're alright," he called out to someone in the hall.

Liam came in and left the door open so we could be found easily. One by one, Luke, Ashton, and Calum came in, Ashton having put tape over Luke's mouth to shut him up, and Harry, Louis, and Niall came in. Luke's eyes darkened to a blue as dark as the midnight sky at the sight of Niall, and Ashton's grip on the lad noticeably tightened.

"So, what's next on the agenda?" I asked, hoping to break the silence.

"We should probably get on the buses, since we have another tour stop," Liam said, and Ashton nodded in agreement.

The others nodded in understanding, and right as I was about to ask something, Harry spoke up.

"Phoenix, you're moving back to our bus. You and Dani can share the queen in the back," he said.

"I'm not taking the queen," I answered immediately.

"That sheets have been changed," Louis spoke up.

"Fine," I huffed after thinking for a moment.

Author's Note

I've had this chapter written for a couple weeks, but I wanted to wait to put it on here. I personally don't think it's that good, but I'm also feeling the effects of my depression setting in. Leave your thoughts in the comments. It makes me feel better (as best they can when I'm depressed).

What would y'all like to see in the story? Comment below what you'd like, and I'll do my best to work it in. You get a chapter dedicated to you when I incorporate your idea into that particular chapter.
