Phoenix's POV

The inside was almost as big as the outside. It had, I found out, two floors. It was really tall, and I'm not exactly sure how it must've looked from the outside. There was a little bit of living space in front of the kitchen, which was in front of the bunks, but from what Paul told me, the entire upstairs was a living area with T.V.s and couches and a small mini-fridge.

"Alright, so I've taken the liberty to create bunk assignments for everybody so that eliminates all the fighting," Harry said, pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket and scanning it.

"So, you just want to be in control of something?" Luke questioned, drawing some laughs.

Harry flashed him a look, then cleared his throat.

"So, the bunk arrangements are, and there will be NO arguing," Harry flashed his eyes at Luke, and then continued reading from the paper.

"Luke on bottom and Payrin on top," he pointed at the first set of bunks on the right.

"Next to them is Ashton on the bottom and Michael on top," Harry motioned to the second set.

"Finally on this side, we have Liam on the bottom and Dani on top," he moved on to the other side.

"Calum, you get the top bunk or the bottom. Your choice," Harry pointed at the first set of bunks on the left.

"Phoenix, you're on the top, and Niall, you're on the bottom," Harry moved to the second set.

"And finally, Louis, you get the bottom bunk of this last one. I'm taking the top one," he said.

"So, with that said, you are all free to settle in. Have at it," Paul took over as he talked to our bus driver. Soon, we were on the road again.

I dragged my pillow and blanket to my bunk, pulled out my stuffed animal that I always sleep with from my backpack, and somehow climbed up into my bunk, shutting my curtain and napping. I was so tired, I would unpack later. If I had to share closet space with someone, I'd just make them move their stuff over to give me space. Or, who knows. Maybe I just wouldn't unpack.

Niall's POV

"Um, Harry, Liam, Paul, can I see you for a sec?" I asked. I'd done some research about what Phoenix had described to me, and from what I had seen, it could be pretty serious.

"What's up, Ni?" Liam asked me as he, Harry, and Paul gathered in a circle around me.

"Phoenix has come to me, quite annoyed by the fact that suddenly she has been feeling tired, and she's quite confused as to why. I looked up some of what she's told me, and one of the things I saw said something about an enlarged spleen," I word-vomited.

They all sat in thought for a moment, and for a minute, I was worried that they wouldn't take me seriously. Would they laugh at me? Would they dismiss it? What would happen?

"Thank you for letting us know. I'll make sure there's extra security, and right after concerts, she'll go straight to the bus, and I will personally watch over her," Paul reassured me before leaving.

"Meanwhile, we've got to put together our own plan of action, but we can't let Phoenix know," Harry's face was set in grim determination.

"Do we let the others in on it?" Liam asked.

"Yes, we obviously let Louis in, and we'll let Calum, Ashton, Luke, Michael, Payrin, and Dani in on it. They all genuinely care about Phoenix and her well-being. And it would be a big help," Harry answered.

Phoenix's POV

Why in the world was I so tired, yet I couldn't fall asleep?! That was the whole point of me getting in my bunk and tucking myself in. Instead of falling asleep straight away, which is what I thought was going to happen, I tossed and turned. I could hear Niall, Liam, Harry, and Paul talking, but I couldn't quite make out what they were saying. Oh well. It didn't matter.

Can you come cuddle with me or something? I can't sleep.

Maybe a snuggle or something with Niall would help. I didn't want to get up or yell, so I just texted him.

Niall's POV

Can you come cuddle with me or something? I can't sleep.

I read the text from Phoenix, and let the lads know that Phoenix had requested me.

"What's up?" I asked after climbing into her bunk next to her.

"I'm tired, but I can't sleep. I don't have the energy to do stuff, but my brain is firing at like warp 10 or something like that. And I'm cold, even though this blanket is like, super warm. Plus, my head hurts," she complained, then shut her mouth quickly.

I felt her forehead, which felt super warm.

"I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere," I sat up, then turned to her before gently pulling the curtain back and jumping down. I had to go find the first aid kit. Maybe there was a thermometer in there.

"Paul, we don't happen to have a thermometer in the first aid kit, do we?" I asked Paul.

"I believe we might. What for?" he answered.

"I think Phoenix is sicker than we thought. She's cold, even under her thick blanket, her head hurts, and when I felt her forehead, it felt abnormally warm, on top of being tired," I leaned in to tell this to Paul.

"Hmmm. Yeah, go get the first aid kit. It should be in there. It really should just be called the medicine cabinet, since that thing holds the paracetamol and the thermometer along with whatever else is in there," Paul suggested.

I laughed at his comment and got the thermometer.

"Open up," I prodded Phoenix to open her mouth, and then I stuck it in her mouth.

"Now close, and don't talk."

"Ohmmkmmaaymmm," she said, despite what I had said. When the thermometer beeped, I took it out of her mouth and looked at it.

Okay, so she had a bit of a fever. I put the thermometer back and grabbed a washcloth, wetting it with cold water, and put it on her forehead before climbing in next to her.

"You have a bit of a fever, but get some rest. I'll see how you're feeling when you wake up," I soothed, pulling the blankets up some more and closing the curtain.

"Thank you," she murmured before finally falling asleep.
