It was the day after Christmas and Will and Zoran woke up at 8. They slept on two cots in the frontroom while Jonathan had a bedroom. Max was gone with Lucas visiting his grandparents and Jane was going with Mike someplace. That left Jonathan and Jim and Joyce at home with Zoran and Will. Christmas went well and Will and Zoran managed to get them gifts as well. Well, shirts from a giftshop at the Vancouver airport. Max and Jane recieved Eightpenny t-shirts instead but all them liked what Zoran and Will got them. They enjoyed a great turkey dinner and watched a couple Christmas movies in the evening. Now it's the next morning and Zoran and Will are at breakfast eating.
"Are you sure you don't want to come with us Jonathan?" Will heard his Mom call out from her room. "No, I'm going to see an old friend from high school today. I won't be back until late." Ok honey, we'll talk tomorrow after I'm back from work." Jonathan walked out the door to his car and left. Zoran and Will ate their cereal as Jane walked out of her room. "Where are you going Jane?" Jane was dressed up with some light makeup on. "Mike is taking me to Indianapolis today. Since Max is gone we have some alone time. We would take you guys with but we planned this a few days ago before you decided to come for Christmas." Will figured they would want to spend time together alone. "No problem. Mom and Hop want us to spend the morning with them." Just then a car pulled up to the house. In came Mike Wheeler with a leather jacket and black Converse. "Hey guys. Do you guys want to go with us? We have room Byers." Jane gave a dirty look to Mike. "We're spending half the day with the Hoppers so thanks for offering Mike." Zoran went back to his cereal after telling Mike. "Yeah, besides Jane I think wants it to be just you two, have fun." Will went back to his toast. "Let's go Mike." Jane grabbed Mike's arm and dragged him out. Mike looked at Will with an apologetic look as she dragged him away.
The 4 left at the cabin loaded into Hop's 1975 Chevy Blazer and left the cabin. "Where are we going Mom?" "We are going to look at a couple houses in Jackson." Joyce told the boys. "Why Jackson? I know Hawkins never loved us but what are the girls going to do?" Will asked. "They will drive to school every day since they will be done in June and they are in their senior year, its only 11 miles or so." Hopper chimed in "we both work in Jackson so it makes more sense to live there. Hawkins is slowly dying and Jackson is growing so investing in buying a house in Jackson makes more sense." "Yeah it makes sense. Does anybody else know about this?" Will was curious if this was something he can talk about with the others. "Only us 4 and Jonathan know. We'll tell the girls when we find a house."
After spending over 3 hours looking at houses the Hoppers took the boys to lunch. "I really liked that house near the woods. The four bedrooms will come in handy on holidays. The small garage outside will be nice for you Hop." Will liked the second house they looked at. "Yeah, once the Snow Valley house sells we probably will buy that one. I guess there were 2 parties interested in it" Joyce told the boys.

It was evening and Max and Lucas returned to the cabin with Mike and Jane following 30 minutes later. Will and Zoran were curled up with each other on the couch watching Silverado. Hopper rented the movie before Christmas and it wasn't Will's first Choice but Zoran liked it. The man named Paden in the movie was Will's favorite, especially when he got his hat back.
"What did you guys do today?" Max came out of her room asking Will and Zoran. "We went with Joyce and Hopper to Jackson to...um, I mean to eat dinner." Zoran told Max what he knew. "Yeah when we got back Hop had to check out a van rollover in the East part of the county." Mike spoke up "talking about vans, did anyone hear back from Dustin. He was suppose to stay over at our sleepover at my place tomorrow and Jane and I never heard back from him. You don't think that van was Eddie's van? I guess Dustin was going with him to visit a couple buddies. I wonder if they came back home?" Lucas spoke up "Max and I drove by Dustin's house and the lights were all off and no car sat in the driveway. He's still gone that I know of." After the group talked Hopper and Joyce came through the door.
