Will drove into Hawkins just before noontime.  Jonathan called his phone and told him to meet him uptown at a place called The Pitchers Mound.   The place was one of those bar and grills set into an old building where some tavern existed many years ago that Lonnie used to go to.

Will left his car when Jonathan came walking up.  "Hey buddy."  Jonathan hugged Will.  "Hi Jonathan.  Is this where Lonnie used to go to get drunk, I mean in my timeline he did."  "Yeah, he did in mine too."  Jonathan's words tapered off.  "Let's just go inside and eat."  Will made Jonathan sad but didn't care at the moment.  "Why are we eating here.  Isn't Benny's open?"  Will was whining when a commotion came from the bar.

"So, are you too good to eat here now Byers!"  Will scrunched up his face trying to figure out who was standing behind the bar.  "Mike?  Is that you?"  Mike was wearing glasses and shorter hair that Will wasn't used to seeing.  "In the flesh, Willy.  You really think Benny's is better than here?  We have the best burgers in town."  Will started laughing while Mike deflated.

"So you're a Byers?  Are you Jonathan's cousin or something?"  A woman wearing a Pitchers Mound T-shirt asked Will behind the bar.

"He's Jonathan's brother Kelly."  Mike relied to the woman.  "Really!  I don't remember you in school?"  Kelly was cut off.  "He went to another school."  Jonathan added.  (To most Hawkinites, Will Byers doesn't exist.)

"You sure are a hottie."  Mike's face turned angry "don't you have tables to bus" Mike yelled out.  "Ok Wheeler,  I was just admiring the view, jeez."  Kelly walked away.

"Let's go sit down over there."  Mike led the brothers to a corner table.  "I'll go make you my famous burgers.  You'll never eat at Benny's again after tasting my special seasoned fries."  Mike was grinning.  "You're not going to spit in my food, are you?"  Mike's grin fell into a frown "screw you Will."  Mike huffed away to make their food himself.

"So does Mike really own this place?"  "Yeah.  Why were you such an asshole to him Will.  He had a hard time after everything and this place is the only bright spot in his life right now."  Will looked around and saw Hawkins High baseball memorabilia along with some MLB stuff hanging on the walls along with your standard beer and hard liquor signs and neon lights.  He also had like D&D fantasy weapons pinned on the walls like shields and swords.  Very eclectic.

"I don't know, maybe because I haven't heard from him in 11 years.  I just wanted to take that smirk off his face."  Jonathan opened his mouth but was interrupted.  "A Diet Coke for you Jonathan and an Orange soda for you Willy.  Your food will be out in a bit."  Mike winked at Will before heading to the kitchen.  "Does he think I'm 12 by giving me an Orange soda.  I don't even like.... shit, that Son of a ...."  Jonathan was laughing so hard he could hardly breathe.  "Will, you need to lighten up.  Doesn't it show he still cares about you by know you don't like Orange soda."  Will studied Jonathan for a few seconds.  "Earth to Will, come in."  Something came to Will.

"Why are we here Jonathan?  In my past you didn't even care for Mike very much.  Now you know each other like friends or something."  Jonathan slinked into his chair.  Will hit on something.  "Will, alot happened in the last few years.  Umm, Mike is living with me."  Will's  eyebrows arched up hard "Why didn't you tell me when we were at Mom's house about this?"  Jonathan swallowed "because it wasn't until I moved into Hawkins he became my roommate."  "Oh."

Mike showed up with food for each of them.  "Try this Byers."  Will took a bite of the deluxe burger and really enjoyed it.  The fries weren't soggy and Mike seemed to nail it.  "I guess this isn't so bad."  Will was blushing "not so bad huh.  You are a poor liar.  You like it."  Mike gave Will a hard time.  "Oh, did Jonathan tell you the good news."
