Oh my gosh guys, I am so sorry this took so long to update. Buttttttt, as you can tell from the title, a very special character is returning :D
Mabel stared out at the beautifully restored forest. She should've been relieved that the problem had been solved and everything could go back to normal. Except that it hadn't. Somehow, she just knew, that however the forest got restored, it was Dipper's doing. She knew that Dipper did something that he wasn't supposed to, or he wouldn't have snuck out in the middle of the night. She sighed.
"Ok, if I were Dipper, what would I do?" She looked around and then spotted one of his vests. "I'd probably put one of those on to try and look cool." Laughing, she put on Dipper's vest. Then she checked the pockets. Nothing unusual was in them. "Huh. I thought for sure I would find something in this! Hmmmmmm, ok, what else? Think Mabel think! What do people usually do in movies? Hmmmmmm. Oh! What if I tried to copy what he did before he left and see if that helps at all!"
She walked over to Dipper's bed and then flopped backwards onto the pillow. "Now, Dipper always sleeps on his side, like this." She repositioned her self on top of the blankets in the way that Dipper slept. Suddenly, she felt something against her head. "Huh? What's this?" She sat up, and then reached inside of Dipper's pillowcase. She felt around, and then pulled out a note that was folded inside of it. It looked shiny and somewhat magical. She unfolded it to see what it said.
A boy destined to stop the storm
Will he save the world or keep his form?
Summoning Cipher is the best advice
But this choice will have a sacrifice
She froze. Suddenly, everything came together. Why Bill had shown up, why he mentioned Dipper doing something stupid, and why the forest was restored. Dipper had made a deal with Bill. And somehow, wherever he was right now, he was keeping the entire town and forest safe through it. She looked down at waddles in fear.
"Waddles...Dipper is going to be ok...right?" Waddles let out an oink, and then walked over to Mabel. Mabel hugged her pig close to her heart and started crying. "It-It was supposed to be an awesome summer! ...It was supposed to be you and me against anything! But NO! Of course, you had to find that stupid book and it ruined it all! It ruined all of our fun, and caused so many fights between us! Over what Dipper? A mysterious talking dorito?! Well congrats, you found him! And now-now he's going to eat your soul or something! Why couldn't you have listened to me just once and stopped only thinking about yourself! I'm your sister, genius! We're supposed to stick together! And now I have to go save you from this!" Mabel sighed. "If that's what I need to do, then so be it. But I'm getting my brother back and we're going to get everything back to normal again! No matter what!"
She kissed Waddles on the head, and then left her room. She hurried down the stairs to inform her grunkles of what happened. As much as she hated to admit it, if anyone could help her find Dipper, it would be Grunkle Ford. She walked into the room, to find her Grunkles arguing over who knows what.
"I'm telling you Stanley, one minute there were blobs everywhere and the next they were all gone! They simply vanished from existence like they were never there to begin with! It's incredible! I can't wait to investigate it further with Dipper today when we try and analyze-" Ford was cut off by Stan. "Yea yea, that's great Sixer. Glad your plan worked out. But I really don't like you dragging the kid into these things. It seems pretty dangerous." Ford rolled his eyes. Before he could respond, Mabel came running into the room. "Guys guys! I need your help!"
Stan looked at his niece with concern. "Wow, easy there pumpkin! What happened?" Ford looked at his niece and saw the panic in her eyes. He could tell that this was serious. "Yes, what happened Mabel? It seems like something is really upsetting you." Mabel panicked. She didn't know where to start. So she said just that.
"I-I don't know where do begin! I-I couldn't find Dipper anywhere this morning so I looked around, and-and I found this and..." Mabel held up the shiny note. Ford opened his eyes widely in shock, while Stan was just trying to get a closer look at it. "Why in the world is this note so shiny?! This generation, I tell ya, everything has to be all big and flashy!"
Ford continued to stare at it, ignoring Stan's previous comment. "Because Stan, this note had to have been made with the infinity sided die! It has the same glow to it. This must've been the real note. And Dipper wrote a fake to cover it up." As Ford finished reading the note, he clenched his fists in burning anger. He had the most angry expression imaginable present on his face, and were those tears forming in his eyes? Intrigued, Stanley read the note as well.
"Uh, I'm not sure I understand. Who is this *Cipher* guy?" Ford's expression somehow got even angrier. "He's the Cipher. Bill the bearer of nightmares. The Nightmare nacho. The trickster triangle. Whichever name you use, it's still him. And he is the singular worst being I've ever known in my entire existence!" Grunkle Stan processed this. "So, wait. You know this Cipher guy? And Dipper's gotten wrapped up in another one of your problems?!" Ford didn't change his expression.
"Yes Stan. Dipper sacrificed himself to save the town. He's probably being tortured right now, at this very moment. And I bet the only thing that he's thinking of is us, and making sure that we are ok. ... and-and Bill knew that this would happen.... Oh gosh...HE KNEW THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND HE'S USING DIPPER TO GET TO ME! ... WELL- WELL NOT ON MY WATCH! That does it! I'm summoning that stuck-up demon right now, and settling this once and for all!" And with that, Ford stormed out of the room, leaving Mabel and Stan all alone.
Mabel started to cry again. "Do-do you think Dipper's gone forever?" Stan froze. He pulled Mabel into a hug and comforted her. "No sweetheart. No. Your brother was just trying to do what he thought was the best thing. I'm sure he's fine pumpkin." As Stan was standing there, comforting Mabel and allowing her to feel safe, he considered what would happen if Dipper didn't come back.
He couldn't let Mabel loose her brother. He wouldn't let Mabel loose her brother. And he wouldn't let Mabel become like him. He'd make sure that Dipper would be on that boat that would take them back home together. Uh- he meant the bus that would take them back. Yea. The bus...
Ok so a few things:
1, thank you so much to the people who answered my questions from the last chapter! I went back and fixed the spacing issue with the first few chapters, and I appreciate your suggestions! I also want to let you know that the next chapter is a Ford chapter as well, so for those of you who asked for Ford, I will NOT disappoint! :D
2, I'm truly sorry with how long it's been taking me to update. A lot has been going on and realistically, I don't think I'm going to be able to update this as regularly as I did before. However, I still promise to update as often as possible and I will try to have things out by the normal time until the story goes on break. Thank you so much for all of your patience and support :)
