Well my dad forced me to go with him to Exotic Ristorante. I've always loved coming to this restaurant ever since I was a little girl. When growing up Mom and Dad used to take us to their workplaces of course I found designing complicating even though I loved the end results. So I stuck with the restaurant because cooking was fun. Dad used to let me cook anything I wanted even though it would taste disgusting but he never complaint which ended up making me a good cook.
As for Angie she grew up loving dressing up and drawing. It was not a suprise when she chose to pursue a career in fashion. She used to be mommy's little model while I was too shy but mom would take unexpected pictures of me anyway. Mom would post our pictures on her Instagram account and people loved us and our different personalities. All my mom's children grew up on social media and around cameras which is a reason why I'm not into social media like that. My account has lots of followers yeah but I rarely post unlike Addy. She's a social media influencer that one and since she's an extrovert a lot of people like her.
My thoughts were interrupted by my phone and my dad quickly took it and answered. We were sitting at one of the tables having coffee since it was still in the morning.
"Hello is this Asante Dlamini?" The call was on loudspeaker so I was able to hear whatever the caller was saying.
"This is her dad." I snatched the phone from my dad.
"Sorry for the inconvenience. This is Asante Dlamini how can I help you?" I gestured for my dad to not say a word.
"You applied for the position of an accountant in our company am I right?" The woman asked.
"Yes I did."
"Our CEO has a brother who was in the States and he just came home. He also did accounting so the position was given to him." Oh.
"It's okay. I'll apply somewhere." Disappointments are part of life but life goes on. I wanted to work for that company so much.
"However you've been given the position of our CEO's personal assistant. I understand it's a lower position and not what you've applied for but we need someone with your brains in our company. Your qualifications are very much impressive."
"Thanks."
"You don't have to take the position now. We are giving you a week to think about it and we would very much understand if you don't take it. Have a nice day Miss Dlamini." She hung up.
"So?" I placed my phone back on the table.
"Why are you asking me?" Dad shrugged his shoulders.
"Dad, should I take the job or not?"
"Cupcake, I very much believe in you and your decisions. You always know what to do and whatever you choose I'll support you even though I believe that you deserve better than being someone PA."
"Thanks dad." I know I'm a qualified accountant and that's okay but being a PA is just going to help me learn different things. I may be an accountant but I also want to be a businesswoman one day. So being a PA is going to be like me being an intern and learning how to be a successful businesswoman from the CEO of iNath.

"I heard that you were offered a job at iNath." Mom asked as I helped her prepare dinner.
"I was Mom. As a PA." I rinsed the vegetables.
"So are you gonna take it?" She stirred her samp.
"Take what?" Someone asked from the door and it was none other than Angel Dlamini. I haven't seen her in a month.
"Sis." She came to give me and mom hugs.
"When did you get here?" Mom questioned.
"Kevin just dropped me off." Kevin is her boyfriend who lives here in South Africa while she travels around the world. A long distance relationship is not something I would ever try.
"You should have told us you were coming." Mom insisted with a smile. She's so pretty with those blue eyes of hers which Angie inherited. The rest of us have brown eyes like dad.
"So what is Asa going to take?" She's noisy. Always in other's businesses.
"A job offer."
"Really? I'm so happy for you. Congratulations." She hugged me once more.
"Thanks. It's not what I applied for though." I took a bite of the carrot.
"Why don't you girls go catch up? I'll manage." Mom pushed us out of the kitchen. We went to the lounge and sat down.
"What job were you offered?"
"Personal Assistant."
"PA?" She gasped."Don't take it. We are the Dlaminis and we worth more than that." She flipped her hair. Angie is gorgeous. She's so tall and slender. No wonder she's a model, she has a modelling body and she loves wearing short clothes like right now. She was wearing a short black jumpsuit and matched it with her gold heels.
"Yeah sis,I agree. Don't take it." Addy walked in from upstairs and gave Angie a hug. I'm probably sure she knew she was coming. This two are as thick as thieves.
"Your reasons aren't reasonable enough for me to turn down the offer. They said I quote 'we need someone with your brains in the company'."
"So? You're worth more than that. Another offer is going to come up." Angie assured.
"What's the company's name?" Addy asked.
"iNath."
"Get out of here! iNath?" Angie was surprised. Her behaviour shocked me.
"Yeah...you know it?"
"I know the CEO. Like he's supershot. He's hot and he's one of the richest young men in the country. You should see his house." She looked excited. I didn't even Google the CEO just the company.
"The CEO is a he? Not interested." Addy shook her head in disapproval.
"Shut up,Addy. Sis,you have to take the offer." She was preaching differently a second ago.
"I'm not going to take it because the CEO is a supershot or whatever that is." Sometimes people aren't what they portray themselves as. I may love reading novels but I'm not naïve.
"Asa don't be boring. Take the damn job offer, I'm telling you."
"Don't force her Angie." Mom walked in.
"Mom do you even know the CEO of iNath? I've met him several times and he's yummy." She said dreamily.
"Angie you have a boyfriend." Mom reminded her.
"So what? Mom, I'm not engaged or tied down. I have to compliment a man when I see one." One thing about Angie is that she's straightforward. Like my sister doesn't sugarcoat the truth even though sometimes she can be rude. I believe in withholding the truth if it has the potential of hurting someone she does not.
"You're not supposed to see other men, baby. Stick to Kevin. I already like him for you."
"Mom don't stress me. I just got here." She rolled her eyes."So when are you starting at work?"
"I haven't accepted the offer yet Angie."
"Give me your phone." She extended her hand.
"I'll rather do it myself. I'll call them tomorrow and accept the offer. Are you happy now?"
"I'm very happy baby sis and I'm taking you to work tomorrow. No arguments." Angie just love being bossy and being the deputy parent makes her have rights on us.
We had dinner as family that night and Angie was telling us about New York and showing us some of the pictures she hasn't posted on social media. My sister is an amazing fashion designer and I think since Mom is a fashion designer as well she's proud of Angie.
I slept thinking of how it would be like working for one of the biggest companies in South Africa.
