I found myself humming my favourite song, Snooze by SZA as I cleaned the house. Believe me Nkosinathi has a maid but since I'm staying here, the poor woman is on a paid leave. I woke up with too much energy so I thought why not clean the house? Besides my family is visiting today.
Someone hugged me from behind and I could just tell from the scent whom it was."If you keep on being this perfect I might as well marry you today." I giggled and turned to face him.
"You're silly." He kissed me and lifted me up and placed me on the kitchen counter.
"I'm only silly for you." He stared at me. Sometimes I get scared when I stare into his eyes because I feel that he love me but what if I hurt him unintentionally one day?
Someone rang the intercom. I quickly get off the counter."It's probably my parents."
"And my queue to leave. I love you Sunshine." He kissed me and walked to the garage. Apparently he doesn't want to face my dad because he thinks he influenced me into living with him.
I went to the door and opened for everyone."Hello family."
"We've been knocking." My mom walked inside followed by my dad.
"Hey sis." Angie gave me a hug. You know the ones where your sisters hug you and place your head on their chests? I missed her though.
"I missed you." I told her.
"You know where I stay." She let go of me and I hugged Addy.
"Hey Advocate." I teased her.
"Hey Asa. No one reminds me that I'm a future advocate except for you." She said.
"Hey, you're lying." Chel pushed her off me and hugged me. Well more like getting on top of me. At least she's not that heavy.
"Get off me Chelsea Park."
"It's Dlamini." She got off me with a smile and I hugged my favourite person.
"My favourite baby brother in the whole world." I kissed his face a countless times.
"I'm not sure of what your face was sucking so get it off my face." I gasped while Angie,Addy and Chel laughed. Luckily my parents were already inside.
"I didn't expect that from you " I smacked his head.
"Ouch."
I close the door and walked to the lounge where my parents were already sitting. My mom was inspecting the house. I don't know what she's hoping to see though.
"Where's Nkosinathi?" Dad asked.
"He went to work. Would anyone like anything to drink?" I'm the host so I need to show them hospitality. I still can't believe I'm a host though.
"Juice is fine." Addy said.
"I'll help." Angie stood up. I'm pretty sure she wants to say something. Angie never offers to help with any household chores. I don't even remember the last time she washed dishes. I'm not even mentioning cooking because we will sleep in hunger. She can't cook to save her life but she's my sister and we are used to her.
"Why did Nkosinathi leave even though we said we are coming?" I heard dad asking as I walked to the kitchen.
I took out the juice inside the fridge and searched for glasses inside the cupboards.
"I want wine not juice." Angie who was just sitting down on the stool said.
"Okay." I placed the glasses one by one inside the tray but I could feel Angie staring at me.
