Today is my official first day at work. I woke up and got ready then had breakfast with my family. My dad offered to drive me to work. iNath is not far from where I live so in thirty minutes my dad parked his car in front of the building. It was so huge.
"So this is where my daughter is working." He looked around. This street is very much busy but it has less traffic.
"Yes daddy. I don't wanna get late. So goodbye." I hugged him.
"Call me if anything happens." He said as I opened the car's door.
"Dad nothing is going to happen. You said the same thing on my first day in varsity." I waved at him and walked to the building. I took the stairs and reached the reception.
"Good morning,Asanda." She was wearing her pink blazer. Yesterday it was a yellow one. I guess she's a colourful person.
"Morning Asa. It's funny how I'm also Asa but you can call me Sandy also you're right on time and this is Sir's mails." She gave me few letters.
"Doesn't he have email?" I mean I expect someone from a digital marketing to prefer digital mail over this letters.
"He does but not everything can be send through mails." She gave me a cheeky smile.
"Thanks." I was about to walk to the lift when Sandy stopped me.
"Wait…his coffee." She gave me two coffees.
"Whose the other one for?"
"They are both his. Now run before they get cold and good luck." With that I walked to the lift and pressed the button to the eighth floor which is also the last floor.
Soon the lift stopped and I got out. I walked to the door that was written CEO on top. I knocked before entering.
"Get in." A voice boomed from the other side and I took a deep breath before I twisted the doorknob and walked in.
The office was spacious and it smelled like mint. It looked clean as well and it had a nice view of the town. Mr Mhlongo was sitting down at his big chair and he was staring at me.
"Hi." I was feeling anxious at his gaze and didn't know what to say.
"Is that my coffee?" Is that all he had to say? He's intimidating. I can never stop saying this.
"Uhm—yeah." I quickly placed the two coffees on the table but I mistakenly knocked off one coffee and it spilt over the papers that were there.
"I'm so sorry." I tried to clean but I was making more mess.
"Leave it." He said in his icy cold voice.
"I'm sorry Nkos—I mean Mr Mhlongo."
"It's okay. Go sit down." He gestured at a chair and table on his left corner. His face wasn't okay with what I did though. He was pissed.
Great, what a best way to start my first day. I went to sit at my table.

By the time lunch came,I was already doing great with being a PA and it just felt so right. I'm finally a working woman and no matter how scary it was at the beggining I'm starting to understand things
"How's your first day going?" Asanda asked. We were sitting in the canteen having lunch.
"It's going well. Like I've got this feeling of fulfilment. It's so refreshing to work here and believe me I was anxious at first but working for Mr Mhlongo is just so amazing. He's not your typical rude boss."
