Midoriya spent all day scrubbing the windows and vacuuming the floors in most parts of the building; especially the front entrance where he brought the cat inside. He was really excited to hear from Todoroki what the class had done all day. It was the only thing he found himself looking forward to.

[Midoriya's Mind]: "I hope nothing bad happens to him during training though..." He took a break and sat down on the couch.

The rest of the day, he caught himself thinking about Todoroki sometimes out of nowhere.

[Midoriya]: "Maybe I'm just excited to see him..." He didn't realize that he was blushing a little.

The next couple days went on like this, and besides the evening where he talked with Todoroki or spent time with the mysterious cat, the hours seemed to drag along.

*back to Todoroki's pov*

The next few days seemed to go by so slow. Without Midoriya in school or hero training, he became more quiet and kept to himself more than usual. The only times he ever got to see him were in the morning and late at night when he was a cat. To everyone else, him being quiet or distant was normal behavior, and the only person who seemed to notice that he was off was Iida.

[Iida]: "I noticed you've been more quiet lately. Has something gone wrong?" He asked him at lunch *it's Midoriya's 3rd day in house arrest*.

[Todoroki]: "No. I'm fine Iida." He lied while eating his soba.

[Iida]: "You don't think I believe you, do you?" He saw right through his lie.

[Todoroki]: "Nothing's wrong. I'm fine." He repeated and only looked at his soba instead of Iida.

[Iida]: "I'm just looking out for you since you're my friend. If something's wrong with either of us, we talk about it. That's what friends are for." He remarked.

[Todoroki]: "It's just strange not having Midoriya around is all." He admitted, but didn't want to say anything more.

[Uraraka]: "Yea it is. But he'll be back the day after tomorrow though!" She overheard what he said and sat down next to Iida with her lunch.

[Todoroki's Mind]: "Yea... it's just one more day." He sighed.

The rest of the day dragged on, just like the previous two. The only thing he looked forward to all day was putting on the mask and seeing Midoriya for as long as he could. After dinner in the afternoon, he walked back to his room and put on the mask like usual. The route he took on Sunday where he climbed up to the roof and walked to the other side was like a routine now. He dropped down onto the correct patio *he learned his lesson and didn't make the same mistake the previous two days* and looked through the glass door. Midoriya walked inside and immediately looked out the patio door. He'd gotten used to this mysterious cat coming to his room every night, and enjoyed every moment with him. It was like escaping everything that had happened during the day and just bringing his attention to something that made him happy. He opened the door to the patio and greeted the cat with a kiss on the head. Every time he did this, he noticed the cat purred louder for a couple seconds. All of a sudden, the cat walked back outside and looked back at him, as if gesturing to come outside too.

[Todoroki's Mind]: "There'll be a nice view up there..." He looked up at the roof and then back at Midoriya.

[Midoriya]: "Do you want to go up there?" He wondered since he saw the cat glancing at the roof multiple times.

[Todoroki]: "It'd be nice. But I'm fine if you say no." He meowed, knowing that he couldn't understand him but said it anyway.

[Midoriya]: "I'll take that as a yes. I haven't gone outside much, let alone on the roof. It's probably nice up there." He smiled and picked up the cat.

He activated Full Cowling for a few moments just to get himself onto the roof and deactivated it once he started walking over to the edge. With a happy sigh, he sat down with his legs dangling comfortably off the edge of the roof. A soft night breeze blew past them as Todoroki sat down next to him.

The white and brown cat sat on the rooftop of the dorms, gazing absent-mindedly at the blissful night. The moon was full and blue, the perfect scenery that will belong in his treasured memories. He glanced over at the beautiful sun that he'd learned to love for only a few months, but his love never shrank, it only grew bigger everyday.

[Midoriya]: "This is such a beautiful view... I never realized there were so many stars, or that the moon could be so blue like that." He gazed up at the night sky as well; his eyes reflected the stars which made them seem like glowing emeralds.

[Todoroki]: "You make the view so much better..." He meowed, moving closer and leaned on his arm.

Midoriya suddenly turned to face the cat. He felt like he had to get something off his chest, but didn't know what. So he said the first words that came to mind that felt genuine.

[Midoriya]: "I love you." He said after a few moments while his eyes were locked with the cat's.

Todoroki didn't know how to think anymore. He was so trapped in the moment, but a few moments later he realized that Midoriya wasn't really saying those words. He was saying them to the cat, wasn't he?

[Todoroki]: "I wish I could change back right now... but do you even love me too? Do you love me the way I love you?" He finally got the words off his chest, but at the end of the day, they were just a couple of meows.

He laid down on his lap like he normally did and put his paws over his face.

[Midoriya]: "Are you sad?" He wondered why the cat had his paws covering his face.

[Midoriya]: "You're probably just tired. I don't know what you do all day, but you've made time to see me every night for almost a week. Thank you." He smiled, cradled the cat in his arms, and walked back to the patio.

Midoriya walked inside his room, closing the door behind him and laid down on his bed. He felt refreshed yet more tired after being on the roof for only a few moments. Even though the view was beyond gorgeous, he knew that he felt more calm because of the cat. Something about him was so familiar in a reassuring and safe way. With a sigh, he laid down on his bed and set down the cat next to him.

[Midoriya]: "I haven't told anyone this but... before I met you a couple days ago, I kept having nightmares every night for a while. In the nightmares... I was always fighting villains or saving people with my friends... but they all died somehow every time... I wasn't strong enough or fast enough to save them. I keep having this on my mind all day because... if I can't even save them in a dream, do I have a chance in real life?" It felt nice to get that off his chest as well as he stroked the cat's head slowly.

Todoroki remembered a couple days ago when Midoriya mentioned he had a nightmare, but he had no idea that it went on for so long. He moved over closer to him and rested his head underneath his chin.

[Midoriya]: "I really shouldn't have let you in here these past couple days... but because of you, I haven't had any nightmares. Thank you." He smiled and closed his eyes, falling into a dreamless sleep.
