Happy Ending

When he walked back into the main room, everyone in the class was there waiting and ran up to him when they saw him. Everyone hugged him [except for Bakugo].

After a few moments, everyone pulled out of the hug and kept bombarding him with questions of where he'd been this whole time.

[Iida]: "Everyone! Give him some space!" He started shooing away his classmates but most of them didn't take him seriously.

Midoriya was standing at the back of the crowd, waiting to find a way to be alone with Todoroki to ask him about earlier. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Mina standing somewhat behind him.

[Midoriya's Mind]: "Oh gosh..." His heart started to race since he knew Mina was unpredictable, and he also knew that she was the only one who knew about his crush.

[Mina]: "Now's your chance to confess!" She said a little too loud and pushed him past a couple classmates to get him in front of Todoroki.

[Midoriya]: "MINA!" He shouted while blushing furiously.

[Todoroki]: "What?" He was confused about what Mina said, and before he knew it, Midoriya was in front of him.

[Midoriya]: "It's nothing! Mina didn't say anything!" He said with a panicked voice, looking for a way to escape to the elevator to get to his dorm.

He heard a couple of the girls squeal excitedly behind him.

[Midoriya's Mind]: "Mina must've told some of them..." His heart raced faster with anxiety.

[Todoroki]: "It doesn't seem like nothing. You're bright red." A small blush ran across his cheeks, but his expression didn't change.

Midoriya couldn't take the anxiety anymore and bolted past everyone to the elevator.

[Mina]: "Gosh dang it..." She muttered.

Midoriya quickly got in the elevator and pressed the button for the 3rd floor. Todoroki wanted to catch up to see what was wrong, but everyone bombarded him again.

After a couple moments, Todoroki was finally able to get out of the crowd and took the stairs to get to Midoriya's dorm room. It took a minute, but he finally reached his room *Midoriya's room* and took a moment to make his heart stop racing.

[Todoroki]: "Midoriya?" His heart still felt like it was going to beat through his chest, but he slightly opened the door to look inside anyway. He saw Midoriya curled up on his bed completely under the covers except for the top of his fluffy hair.

[Midoriya]: "Todoroki?!" He was startled since he didn't expect Todoroki to be there and peeked out from under the covers.

[Todoroki]: "I came to see if something was wrong. You rushed out of there faster than Iida." He walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed, secretly so nervous inside that he thought he'd faint.

Midoriya put the covers back over his head. The only light in the room was the moon glowing through the glass door to the balcony.

[Midoriya]: "Todoroki... there's something I've wanted to tell you for a while, especially when you were missing..." He came completely out from the covers this time and sat nervously in front of him.

Todoroki's heart pounded faster as a larger blush spread across his face.

[Midoriya]: "I didn't even know I had this feeling before... but someone helped me realize it and I haven't stopped thinking about it since... and I just wanted to tell you that... that I-"

Before Midoriya could finish what he wanted to say, Todoroki leaned in and kissed him. At first he was taken by surprise, but in the end, he was just glad his feelings were returned and kissed him back. For the few long moments that the kiss lasted, they both felt like everything else in the world had disappeared. They slowly pulled out of the kiss, and when they realized what just happened, they freaked out *in a good way*.

[Midoriya]: "That was..." He couldn't even find the words to say; his face might as well be on fire from how much he was blushing.

[Todoroki's Mind]: "Wow... how did I even do that..." He covered his bright red face with his hands.

[Midoriya]: "I... I'm glad you like me too..." He barely managed to mumble, but was smiling despite how nervous he was.

[Todoroki]: "I've liked you for a long time... I just never knew how to tell you. I was worried that you wouldn't like me in the same way... and that I didn't deserve such an amazing person." The words slipped out of his mouth without a thought.

[Midoriya]: "I'm not that amazing... what makes you think so?" He mumbled, blushing even more.

[Todoroki]: "Well... because of you, I was finally able to start accepting the parts of myself that I've hated for so long. I'll never forgive my father, or anything that he did to my family... but you made me realize the fire I have belongs to me, not him. You made me feel whole again... and that's what makes you amazing to me." He admitted, finally getting the thoughts that've been in his head for months.

[Midoriya]: "I... I don't know what to say..." He finally looked him in the eyes.

[Midoriya's Mind]: "At the Sports Festival, I wanted to help him so badly... and I did... but I didn't expect him to be impacted by it these past months... I can't believe I made him feel that way..." He smiled brightly with happy tears in his eyes and moved over to hug him.

[Todoroki]: "You don't have to say anything..." He hugged him back, feeling the happiest he'd ever been in his life.

On this blissful night, the moon may not be full, but it shines brighter than ever, almost as if it knew the love that had just been declared through a silent, powerful gesture. The white and brown cat walked back into the peaceful forest, knowing it could finally be free.

So, the cat mask was enchanted by a person's quirk to turn anyone who puts it on into a cat. But, originally, it was just a normal cat that got turned into a mask by the person. The reason why: This person wanted whoever put on the mask to live a better life as a cat. But the only way the mask would turn back to a normal cat is if the person who has it finally becomes happy with their life as a human.
