Lie Upon a Whisker (COMPLETED)

Decision

The next morning when Midoriya woke up, he let the cat out of his room and went back to sit on his bed for a bit. Todoroki quickly padded back to his dorm room, taking the same route across the roof.

[Todoroki]: "Maybe I should call in sick today and just stay with Midoriya..." He wondered, pausing at the edge of the roof that led to his patio.

[Todoroki's Mind]: "Maybe I should just stay as a cat... I don't have a chance with him as a human. But he loves me so much when I'm a cat." He didn't know what to do, so he just went back inside his room to think about it some more.

When he did a flip off his bed to change back, he didn't feel his body change at all like usual.

[Todoroki]: "What?" He tried again, a little confused, and it luckily worked the second time.

[Todoroki]: "Hmm... that was strange." He didn't think much of it and went downstairs to make himself breakfast.

By the time he finished eating the soba he made, almost everyone started coming into the common room like usual. The morning went by quickly, but the rest of the day dragged on. All Todoroki thought of all day was whether or not he should remain a cat. When he got back after the long day, he ran into Midoriya who was vacuuming in the common room.

[Midoriya]: "Hey Todoroki-kun! How was your day?" He turned off the vacuum and looked at him with a bright smile.

[Todoroki]: "Nothing much. Although we trained at Ground Beta today." He had a couple bandaids on his arms from training.

[Midoriya]: "Gosh, I'm so excited to be back tomorrow! I've been itching to catch up on everything I missed! Although it seems like nothing too important happened in the past couple days, but still!" He said excitedly.

[Todoroki]: "Yea, it's been strange not having you around. I don't hear Bakugo yelling as much as usual, which means he mainly yells at you I guess." He recalled.

Midoriya burst out laughing and had to lean on the vacuum for a couple seconds to catch his breath afterwards.

[Midoriya]: "Thank you by the way for filling me in on everything that's happened. You're a really good friend." He smiled.

Todoroki felt his heart sink.

[Todoroki]: "I'm going to head upstairs." He waved goodbye and walked off to go shower.

After he got out of the shower, he quickly changed into his clothes and went back to his dorm room.

[Todoroki]: "I think maybe... I should stay as a cat." He sighed while staring at the plushie Midoriya gave him.

Midoriya sat in the common room with almost everyone else eating dinner. When Todoroki came into the room, it seemed like he was the only one to notice him walk in.

[Midoriya]: "Hey Todoroki-kun! Come sit with us!" He invited him over.

[Todoroki]: "I'm going to eat my dinner upstairs." He responded quietly and quickly made himself some soba.

[Midoriya]: "Are you sure?"

[Todoroki]: "Yes." He grabbed his bowl after it was made and headed upstairs.

[Midoriya's Mind]: "That was strange... I'll go check on him after dinner and see if something's wrong." He sighed and continued eating his dinner.

After eating his soba in his room, he finally decided what he wanted to do.

[Todoroki]: "It's not just Midoriya... it's everyone. My family, my friends... it hasn't felt real. The only real moments I've had were when I was a cat. When I was with him and he loved me..." He hesitated for a moment, but he put on the cat mask. Quickly, he opened the door and walked outside into the rain.
