chapter ten

I soon found out that I would have to stay in the hospital for at least another weak. They would have to finish draining the liquid of of my lungs -there had supposedly been a lot, and most of it was blood red- and then I would need a full body scan. They needed to check the growth of the tumors, and see if they had spread anywhere else in my body.

Johnnie and Bryan had to leave when visiting hours ended, and johnnie promised to bring me some stuff to do tomorrow. So I went to sleep, waiting for the moment when I would see my beloved boyfriend next.

When I woke up the next morning and looked around, johnnie had just arrived, and was putting down his bag, which most likely carried the things that he brought me.

"Hey babe." I smiled, kissing him lightly on the lips.

"Hey. How did you sleep last night?" He brushed my hair out of my eyes lovingly, and smiled.

"I slept like crap." I chuckled. "Mostly because of the tube sticking into my chest. You?"

"I slept fine. I missed you though." I smiled sadly. He had bags under his eyes, and I could tell he barely slept. Why would he lie to me?

"I missed you too." I hugged him tightly, and coughed. He pulled away instantly, and reached for the button to summon the nurse. I stopped him.

"It's fine babe." I told him. "Just a cough."

"Oh." He paused. "Okay."

I smiled at him, and caressed his cheek. "So what did you bring for me in your bag?"

"I brought some letters that the fans gave me to give you while I was on warped, and some paper and pens to write back if you want". I grinned.

" thanks johnnie."

"You're welcome kyle." He smiled slightly, and rested his hand against the back of my neck, and leaned down slightly, our lips meeting for a brief moment before he pulled away.

"I love you." I whispered. His smile grew slightly.

"I love you too."

He sat with me for most of the day, holding my hand the whole time. He told me all about warped tour, talking about some of the fans he met, and the bands that he saw live for the first time. I was happy for him. He seemed to have had a great time. I just wished that I had been there with him to experience it. Around nine pm, my nurse entered, and told johnnie that visiting hours were over.

We both sighed, hugged and kissed kne last time, and he began to leave.

"I love you." I called to him.

"I love you too." Then he was gone for the night.
