Chatper 25

Becca goes to say something when her phone starts to ring. She picks it up and sighs, Alix looks over and sips her coffee.
"You should probably answer that"
"But I don't want to" she groans.
Alix kisses her cheek and gets up, giving her some space. Becca groans and answers the phone, covering her eyes.
"Yes Chris"
El makes a face and scoots closer to Becca. She looks over at her with raised eyebrows, El smiles and sips her coffee. Shay chuckles and shakes her head, gently nudging El.
"Come on nosy"
"But mommmm"
Becca chuckles softly as Shay gently pushes El away. She sighs as she listens to Chris.
"Yes, my mom knows. She apparently has always known."
She nods and rolls her eyes.
"Yes Chris, she has met her. And to be honest, they hit it off pretty well"
Becca chuckles and sips her coffee, watching as Alix walks over to her laptop and plops down. She gets up and walks over, leaning down slightly and kissing the younger woman's shoulder. Alix looks back and smiles softly. Becca tilts the phone away and whispers in Alix's ear, "What happened to the no work thing?"
"Who says I'm working?"

"Don't believe her!" El yells from outside. The two ladies hear Shay shush her, "El! She's on the phone!"
"Your point?"
"Don't make me use your real name"
"You wouldn't dare...."
Alix and Becca chuckles softly. She hums and nods along as Chris talks, leaning down and softly kissing along the nape of Alix's neck.
"Chris you have 10 seconds to explain why you're interrupting my weekend"
Alix sips her coffee and looks up at Becca, watching as her face starts to drop.
"What's wrong" Alix whispers. Becca looks at her and holds up a finger.
"How'd she find out? Chris, how?!"
Becca starts pace and groan, "Chris this cannot happen again".
Alix gets up and walks over, stopping Becca from pacing around. Gently cupping her cheek and rubbing it with her thumb, "breathe baby", Alix whispers. Letting out a sigh, Becca relaxes into her hand.
"Okay. Yeah, I'll check my email and see. Thanks Chris"
Becca drops her head on Alix's shoulder and sighs. Alix reaches up and lightly scratches Becca's neck and kisses her temple. Becca wraps her arms around Alix's waist and holds her close.
Whispering in her ear, "Everything okay?"
Shaking her head softly, Becca lets out a slow breath and avoids Alix's eyes. She reaches between them and plays with the necklace Alix is wearing.
"Hey" Alix says softly, tilting Becca's chin up, "whats going on?"

"You two might as well come in..."
Shay and El peek around the corner, "we weren't being nosy" Shay says. "Speak for yourself, I WAS being nosy" El quips.
Becca takes a breath and looks down, clearing her throat, then looking up at the three women. "Um, I have a meeting with the dean apparently...to discuss my indiscretions"
"Meaning..." Alix asks cautiously.
Becca clears her throat, "Apparently she found out, you and I have been reconciling..."
El makes a face, "Why would the dean even care? It's not like Alix is a student anymore"
"I don't know" Becca says softly and sits down, holding her head in her hands.
Alix walks over and sits next to her, gently wrapping her arms around her, kissing her temple. Whispering, "I'm sorry".
Becca sighs and leans into Alix. Shay holds out her hand, "Phone".
Looking up at her, "Absolutely not" Becca says.
"I'm not going to look through your nudes, and half the ones Alix sent you I helped her pick. But that's not what I need it for"
"Shay..."
"Give me the phone Becca"
Sighing softly, she hands over her phone. Shay hums and opens up the email form the dean and reads through it, nodding and hading it back to her. Shay grabs her phone and heads outside, El looks around confused, "What just happened" she asked.

Alix shrugs softly, placing another kiss on Becca's temple as she reads the email.
"When?"
"Today...at 3 p.m."
"I can go-"
"Alix no. This isn't something I want to drag you through...again"
"Becca-"
"No Alix...no"
Becca turns, placing a soft kiss on Alix's lips then her forehead.
"I should go get changed..."
She gets up, Alix holds her hand until she can't, letting her hand fall back onto her lap. El looks at Alix, "I'm fine El".
"You are a shit liar"
El gets up and sits next to Alix. Becca comes back down, dressed in her clothes, going to get her phone and keys. Alix gets up and follows her as she makes her way over to the door. Letting out a sigh, Becca pulls Alix into a warm hug wrapping her arms tight around her waist. Wrapping her arms around her lovers neck, Alix whispers in her ear, "I'm losing you again, aren't I?"
"No" Becca says as she tucks some hair behind her ear, gently cupping her cheek. "Feels like I am..." Alix says softly as her eyes get glossy. Gently cupping her cheeks, Becca places a soft kiss on her forehead, then on her lips lingering for a moment. Alix kisses her back softly, whispering, "I love you"
Becca smiles softly and kisses her again, "I love you more than you'll ever know".

Alix watches as Becca walks out the door and heads to her car, waving as she gets in. Becca waves and starts her car, pulling out of the drive way. "Excuse me!" Shay shouts as she runs past Alix and out the front door.
"Shay what are you doing?"
"I'll tell you later!"
Shay gets in Becca's car and tells her something. Alix looks at El who shrugs, "I have no idea".
Alix watches as Shay and Becca drive off, shutting the door. "Maybe it's a good thing, Shay went along. She is terrifying".
Chuckling softly, Alix looks at her friend, "I know what you're doing and I appreciate it".
El walks over and wraps Alix in a hug as they sit on the couch, "I was just starting to like her too..damn".
