Chapter 36

"Did she say yes?" El yells from inside the house. Alix chuckles softly. Becca gives El a thumbs up. El squeals and slides open the patio do. Alix jumps slightly when El sets off confetti poppers.
"It's about damn time" El, Drew, and Shay say in unison. Alix chuckles when more poppers go off. Becca wraps her arm around Alix's waist and holds her close. She turns and looks at El, chuckling. "Really?"
"Um yes! Any chance I get to use these, I am".
"She has stock pile, so be ready" Shay says and chuckles softly. Drew smirks and looks at Alix.
"No" she warns, "Drew don't. I have to leave soon".
Drew grunts and looks at Becca, "Leave soon?"
Becca hums softly, "Alix agreed to have lunch with my parents".
Shay and El look at Alix with raised eyebrows. "Woah.....slow down. You just asked her to be your girlfriend. Lunch with the parents?! You're moving so fast!" El quips. Alix shakes her head and rolls her eyes playfully.
"Fast? El" Shay says and looks at her, "This is slower than a turtle running through peanut butter. Bec-". Shay stops herself and clears her throat.
Alix chuckles and looks at her friend, "What about 'Bec'"? She looks at her girlfriend with a quirked eyebrow.
"Nothing" Shay smiles. Becca kisses Alix's cheek softly, "We should probably leave soon, if we want to miss traffic".
Alix hums and nods, placing a sweet kiss on her lips, "Right. I'll be right back". Alix makes her way into the house, when Becca can't see her anymore, she looks at Shay.
"Really?"
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean for that to almost slip!"
"Shay, she can't know about that"
"Umm" El raises her hand, "What can't she know about? I"m lost and I need to be found please".
Shay sighs and looks at Becca, Becca hums and clears her throat.
"I um...I may have bought a ring"
"A what?" El says shocked.
Drew just looks at Becca and crosses his arms, "Just how serious were you with my sister before all of this?"
Becca clears her throat when Alix makes her way back into the living room with her bag.
"How did I miss this?" El asks confused.
"She asked me to help with a ring size. And then we" motions between herself and El, "we made those Pinterest boards".
"Oh!" El looks at Shay then Becca, "You're a sneaky one. I'll give you that doc. Do you still have it?"
Shay lightly smacks El's arm, "El!"
Becca hums and looks down then back up, "I still have it. It's sitting in my desk at school".
Alix walks back out onto the patio, "Okay. I think I left you alone long enough". Becca hums softly when Alix wraps her in a hug. "Are you ready to go? Or are these three still conducting their inquisition?"
Drew fake gasps, "I was behaved thank you. It was all El"
"Wha-" El looks at him then at Alix, "I swear I was nice"
"Baby they were nice" Becca says then presses a kiss on Alix's temple. "But I am ready whenever you are".
"I'm all set. I packed a bag just in case"
"You mean I actually get to sleep tonight?! Thank you sweet baby Jesus!" El clasps her hands together and lifts them.
Dres chuckles and high fives her, Shay just shakes her head.
"You okay if I steal Alix for the night?" Becca asks Shay.
"Of course! Have fun!" She smirks, "Alix, there's an extra box of-"
"Okay!" Alix says, looking at Bec, "We should get going before we're late".
Becca chuckles and nods. "Right. Okay. We'll see you all tomorrow?"
"Byeeeee" El says as she pushes Alix towards the door.
"Why are you so eager to get rid of me?" Alix asks with a slight chuckle.
"Because, once you and lover girl at her place, it means I can sleep without headphones"
Becca grabs Alix's bag and chuckles, "We aren't that loud El".
El looks at Becca with raised eyebrows and puts her hands on her hips, "Do you want to do this right now?".
"No...because I feel like you have evidence of some sort"
"Oh we do" shay says and sips her coffee.
Becca looks at Alix, she shrugs softly, "I know nothing about this. And I don't want to".
She kisses Shays cheek and hugs her, then El. "I'll see you two tomorrow, try not to have too much fun without me"
"Oh we're are going to have ALL the fun" El chuckles.

Alix and Becca make their way to their cars. Becca puts Alix's bag in her car and looks at her, when she tries to get into her car. "What are you doing?"
"Umm driving"
"I can drive"
"But you have meetings in the morning-"
"Which means, if I leave for them, you'll still be in my bed when I get back" Becca says as she presses a soft kiss on Alix's lips. Alix hums and kisses her back softly, feeling Becca's hand slide into her back pack, pulling her closer. Alix whispers, "We can pick this up after lunch".
"Mmmm" Becca whispers, "yes please". Becca lightly squeezes Alix's bum, making her moan softly. Taking her hand, Becca leads Alix back over to her car and opens the door. Alix gets in and buckles, watching as Becca gets in and starts the car.
"So...is there anything I should know before lunch?"
Becca hums and shrugs, "You already met my mom. That's the toughest battle" she chuckles softly, "You'll like my dad. He's a sweetheart". She takes a breath and starts to drive, "But he will probably ask a million and one questions".
"Questions about?"
"Everything"
Alix hums and nods, "Got it". Becca reaches over and takes Alix's hand, softly kissing the back of it. "But I promise, his bite is far less than my mom's". Alix hums and lays Becca's hand on her thigh, while lightly scratching up and down her arm.
