I woke up to my cell phone ringing. "yes?" I said questioningly as I answered. "going to your hotel now so you can go out in 5 minutes" Simon said and hung up. I panicked and ran all over the hotel room looking for my things. I wasn't sure I had my things with me but I put on another pair of pants and shoes and ran down to the front desk and checked out and went out to the parking lot. Just as I came out, I saw Simon pull into the parking lot. "perfect timing" I told myself. He stopped in front of me and I put my bag in the trunk and then sat in the passenger seat.

"I'm surprised you were actually on time" Simon said and turned the music he had on, today it was rock but knew that every time he listened to it he was tired and trying to wake up. "how long will we fly" I asked when we started driving. "about 5 and a half hours" Simon said and yawned. We arrived at his jet and got on. It was a sunny morning and I enjoyed the rays of the sun touching my skin before being forced onto a plane for several hours. I noticed right away that the decor was not as luxurious as the Charles but it wasn't something I was going to complain about.

The plane took off and for the first hour we sat and looked out at the view which was captivating. After a few hours I got very needy and went to the bathroom while Simon brought out card games we could play later. I went back and we had a perfectly okay breakfast which we sat and ate while talking about the upcoming race. We played a few rounds and I lost almost every round. I gave up and tried to sleep for the last time we needed on the plane while Simon listened to music.

The plane landed and we were finally able to get off the plane. We collected our bags and took a taxi to the hotel we were staying at. After a short drive we finally arrived and I had been given a hotel room on the other side of the floor as Simon.I opened the door and was greeted by a fresh scent. The hotel was a bit too luxurious for my taste as I didn't really need it. the room was created for every way you can satisfy every need you can think of. The windows stretched from floor to ceiling and the view was enchanting. The bed was very large and covered in fine sheets and soft pillows. The kitchen and living room were connected, I wanted an apartment like this, I thought to myself. The hotel was bright and had a nice contrast with a gray color.

I threw myself on the bed and just enjoyed the view before choosing to unpack. I understood that several teams would stay at this hotel but could not avoid Charles for much longer so had to accept if he was at this hotel. I felt sick after the flight so I decided to jump in the shower. I went into the bathroom and took off my clothes and stepped into the shower. I was washing my hair and listening to music so didn't hear the knock on the door at first. I heard another knock on the door and assumed it was one of the girls or Simon so I walked out of the shower and towards the door with only a towel around me.

I opened the door and saw that it was Charles standing outside. I panicked when I realized what it was I was wearing. "I'll be there soon" I said and slammed the door and ran and put on other clothes. after a few minutes I opened the door and saw him still standing. "What is it" I asked, avoiding eye contact with him. "Can I come in" he asked. "uh... sure" I said reluctantly and let him in.

We sat down on the couch and I started picking at my nails while I waited for him to start talking. "why are you here Charles" I asked when he didn't say anything. "wanted to say sorry again for what I did" he began.

"I really regret letting my anger take over that night. I miss you Francesca"

"It's okay Charles. I know I never told you how my mother died"

"it's not okay because if I hadn't been as stupid as I was that night you wouldn't have collapsed and risked your life due to alcohol poisoning, maybe we would have been happy together like we were before"
