The calm before the storm - Max Verstappen x Charles Leclerc

I woke up to Simon and Charles singing to me. today was my birthday. i was 22 years old and i got to spend it with my beloved brother and the guy i loved. I got some small packages from the guys by the bed.

"get ready we have to and shop for some better clothes than what you brought" Charles said. he was right, I hadn't thought about what I packed yesterday so it wasn't really the clothes you wear when you celebrate your birthday. "you can show Charles around and tell us what we were up to as kids" Simon said and I nodded before going to the bathroom and showering and getting ready.

after half an hour I was in Charles's car he had borrowed and we drove towards the mall which was not far from the house. while we were going there I talked about a lot of stories Simon and I had done here. Charles listened intently and seemed to like that I had so many good memories.

once we arrived at the mall we went into several shops to find the best outfit to wear tonight. "try this on" Charles said holding out a beautiful dress. I went into the dressing room and tried it on. it sat and looked absolutely perfect. I decided to buy it.

I went out and went to the till to pay. "I'll pay for it" Charles said and took the dress from my hand. I didn't have time to argue against it until he stood at the till and paid. I sighed but let him do it. we got into the car and started to drive away. "is there any place that's nice nearby" Charles asked and I nodded and started to guide him to a place I always went with mom before we moved.

we parked the car and walked out towards a bench that had a perfect view of the city. "can i say one thing" charles said and i nodded nervously at what he was going to say.

"I want to start by saying that I love you so much. You make me so much happier and I'm grateful that we've found our way back to each other. I can't see a life without you so I wonder if you want to be my girlfriend "

I was shocked by what he said, but I didn't have to think for a second about my answer. "yes of course I want to be Charles, I love you so much" I said and hugged him and then gave him a kiss on the mouth.

we sat and talked on the bench for a very long time before he started using his mobile phone and shortly after he said we should go back because he was hungry. "put on the dress" he ordered me and I tried to change in the car which was very clumsy but I managed.

we went back to the house and when we entered it was a little too quiet but when I called for Simon several people jumped forward and started singing to me. it was Pierre, Kika, George, Carmen, Max, Carlos, Lando, Daniel, Albon, Lily, Oscar and Simon. I was in total shock while they sang happy birthday to me.

when they had finished singing I ran up to the girls and hugged them and went around hugging everyone else after that. I couldn't understand how my life had changed into something so much better. "bring out the cake" Simon called and then I saw Charles come out with a giant cake.

I sat down at the end of the table in front of the cake. "wish you something" Kika said and that's exactly what I did, I wished myself a happy life with Charles and then blew out the candles. I got several notifications that people had posted pictures on Instagram so I opened up to check.
