Chapter 23: A new Record.
Rikayne Olivera
I am going to kill Mason.
I stand in front of the mirror in the girls changing rooms and groan when I see that I'm still shining. That was my third shower I took. Atleast Maddie was covered in paint so that was easier to come off and for candy only the paint came off the glitter is still there.
"Those assholes!" Candace yells as she looks at the mirror after coming out of her third shower as well. Maddox is seated on the bench as she types furiously away at her phone and I can only guess are texts filled with curses and death threats to her beloved twin.
I sigh deeply before deciding to put on my just incase outfit, which is usually kept for when aunt flow visits unexpectedly. I never thought I'd use it for a glitter prank caused by my cousin and my friend sort of.
Urgh why did I suggest fake dating back then, I should have just said, let's be friends because now I'm not entirely sure what to label us as. Ezra is someone I don't think I can just be friends with. I realised this when I found him unconscious in his home and I realised that the antisocial coldhearted boy of our class means something to me.
Now I just have to make him fall for me, I know it's not good to try and force someone to feel something towards you but it doesn't hurt to try.
Putting on the black sweatpants and cropped white long sleeve, I realised this outfit perfectly hides most of the glitter stuck in my body. Earlier in the morning I was wearing a short Jean skirt that barely followed school dress code and a pink cropped halter top. So when the glitter bomb went off in my locker my bare skin got most of it. Maddie was the only one in pants and that too hers was a paint bomb.
Although she got most of the paint off, you can still see traces of it in her hair. Candace was wearing a red dress that was also barely passing school dress code. If only we knew. I put my white airforces back on even though they sparkled now and my necklace on. Redid my makeup and decided this the best I could do without missing all my morning classes.
The bell rang signal second period was over and it's now third period. "Girls let's go to class, we'll deal with the boys later," I tell them.
They sigh and grab their things. Checking my timetable, I see it's time for chemistry, great I might be able to sit next to him this time. Maybe if I run, nah that would be too much. I settle for speed walking and as I walk in class, I see him, seated by the window in the back, headsets in staring blankly outside.
A small smile graces his pink lips and it makes me wonder what on earth his thinking about. Even though I usually sit in front to pay better attention since it's AP Chem one of the AP classes I take, I decide to take the seat next to him in the back.
He glances to his left absentmindedly and goes back to looking out the window, before he turns to look at me again. He smiles slightly again and if I wasn't looking directly at him, I would have missed.
"Hi," I say my voice a little higher than necessary.
"Hey, I see you got the glitter out," he says, his deep voice calming the rage I had towards Mason and Saint a little bit.
"Yea not all of it though, still got some on my shoes and hands, see," I say and like the total idiot I am I turn my body and thrust my feet forward hitting his chair.
"Sorry," I mutter and he shakes his head.
"I should apologize, I'm the one who put the glitter bomb in your locker," he tells me and I gape at him.
I'm shocked, I thought it was all Mason and Saint. The prank basically had their names written all over it. I never expected Ezra to be in on it. He brings a hand up to rub the back of his neck and he shrugs, "All I did though was press the trigger button," he says then brings his hand down.
