ALPHA SAMSON
Savage ran for over two hours and was heading back toward the pack house when we saw Oliver waiting on the steps with some clothes.
Savage pushes me forward when we get close. I shifted back and stood before Oliver, who stared at me. "Feel better," he asked while handing me the clothes he was holding. I grabbed them off him and let out a sigh. "Savage has calmed down," I muttered, looking up at him while I placed the sports shorts on. "I'm okay. It was hard to hear all that."
Oliver nodded.
"That was a lot to handle," he said, staring at me. "I don't know how I would cope with all that. Jenson knows more and told me to tell you when you are ready to hear what is happening with your mate. He will tell you."
I said nothing.
Savage and I calmed down when he ran, but our minds raced over every possibility of what our mate went through. How could someone do all that to someone?
Savage heaved a heavy sigh, which made me look back at him. He was now laying down, but his eyes met mine. "Still not happy," he muttered. "But too tired to do anything for now."
I felt slightly relieved. Taming a beast like him was hard, but controlling him was worse. He needed to calm down more, especially around Alora.
"Mate will keep me calm," he blurted out with a yawn. "Her scent and touch alone will help."
I said nothing and looked back at Oliver, who seemed concerned. "Don't worry," I said, giving him a small smile. "Savage is too tired even to talk."
Savage grunted, but there was no movement from him.
Oliver let out a sigh, which seemed more like a relief than anything, and turned to walk back into the pack house. "Jenson is in the office," he said. "He left his mate, Ava, with your mate. She fell asleep on the chair near him after the doctors checked her over."
"Okay," I said, following him. "What did you find out about an alpha command? How do we get rid of it?"
Oliver said nothing but looked over at me. "Jenson, and you will find out when we get into the office," he said, walking toward my office. I stayed quiet until he opened his mouth, and we headed inside.
Walking into the office, we found Jenson sitting on the couch. His eyes met mine, and he stood up abruptly. "You and Savage okay?" he asked, looking slightly concerned.
I gave him a nod and headed to my desk when a knock on the door came. I looked over at Jenson with a frown. "Whose that?" I asked, sitting down.
Jenson walked over and sighed. "The doctor knew someone who knows about the alpha command," he said, which made me lean back in my chair and stare at him while he continued. "I told the pack doctor to send him to the office."
I nodded and looked toward Oliver, who stared. "What did you find?" I asked, making his shoulders move down. "I want to see what this person knows first. It may be the same thing Paul and I found out."
I nodded, but sighed.
"Where is Paul?" I asked.
"With Ava," Jenson said, making me look at him. "He is with your mate and my mate. Both are asleep. I didn't want them alone. Also, he found a carrier for the cat, too."
Cat?
Wait, my mate's pet. My eyes scanned around the room, wondering where the damn thing was, but Oliver cleared his throat, making me look at him. He smirked. "The cat is with your mate, too," he said. "Seemed to want to be with her and hasn't budged from her side."
