⚠️ Trigger Warning: Mentions of childhood emotional burden and past abuse (non-graphic)

⎯⎯ ୨ THIRD PERSON'S ୧ ⎯⎯

The pale February sun seeped through the curtains of Kala's bedroom, casting soft light across her neatly made bed. At eight years and two months old, Kala blinked awake with the sort of excitement usually reserved for dreams. Today was her first full day at BigHit Entertainment—and though she was wired with nerves, she moved with the poise of someone who'd already spent years under the spotlight.

She slipped into an outfit she'd carefully chosen the night before: crisp black pants, a fitted white shirt, and sneakers that made her feel both professional and agile. In her compact dresser mirror, she checked her hair, her posture, and the faint shadows around her eyes. She'd hidden the bruise behind pale makeup and warm-toned concealer—an everyday skill by now. No one would ever see beyond the confident, sparkling eyes and quick smile that were her trademarks.

Stepping into BigHit's lobby, Kala's heart pumped with both pride and disbelief. She was the youngest performance director/choreographer ever hired by a major entertainment company. At eight years old, she still felt like a child, yet here she was—head held high, strides purposeful.

"Excuse me—are you Kala?" asked a receptionist with kind eyes.

"Yes," Kala answered evenly, voice steady. "Kala Park. First day."

The receptionist's eyes flickered to her ID badge and back to Kala's small frame. "Welcome. I'll let the team know you're here."

Hand-in-hand with possibility, Kala followed the receptionist through endless hallways until they reached the vibrant choreography department: dancers stretching with twitching muscles, choreographers clustered around laptops, music washed over everything like a heartbeat.

"This is Kala," the receptionist announced. "She'll be joining us as a performance director and choreographer."

Warm applause echoed in the room as heads turned toward the small girl standing tall amidst senior staff. Eyes wide, she received greetings like ripples in a pond—some curious, others reverent. Intent on leaving a professional impression, she stepped forward, smiling.

"Thank you," she said softly. "I'm excited to be here."
