❜ ─ NARRATOR'S POV ─ ❛

The morning sun filtered softly through the training center windows as Kala entered the large rehearsal hall. Today was the interim check for the I-landers, and Rain had personally asked her to join. She'd jumped at the chance—after all, being part of this felt important, and working alongside Rain was always a learning experience.

"Good morning, Rain producernim," she greeted with her usual bright smile.

He returned the smile, nodding. "Good morning, Kala. I'm really glad you're here."

Kala bowed politely. "The honor is mine, producernim. I'm happy to help."

Rain's eyes twinkled with a mix of seriousness and warmth. "I want to see how you connect with the boys. You give them advice in ways I can't. You're close in age to them, and you get it—the struggles, the pressure. You're not just a mentor; you're one of them."

Kala's grin widened, feeling a little thrill of pride. She'd never thought of herself as a "mentor" before, but the responsibility suited her no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point style.

The I-landers shuffled in, a mix of nervous energy and quiet determination in their eyes. When Kala and Rain approached, the boys straightened, some trying to hide the jitters behind polite greetings.
