Y/N's POV

"Hey, over here!" I heard my best friend's voice after i stepped into the cafe and looked towards the direction of the voice to see my best friend waving his hand over his head, smiling widely at me. I walked towards him and sat down across him while he retracted his arm and rested his elbow on the table.

"So how have you been doing?" He asked right away and a waiter came to our table to serve me a glass of water then walked away from our table. I thanked the waiter before he walked away and turned my head to my best friend, who was eagerly waiting for me to answer his question.

"Still trying to move on." I answered and took a sip of water from the glass then i took a look at the menu, wondering what i should order.

"Have you ordered anything?" I asked without looking at my best friend, keeping my eyes focused on the menu in my palms.

"Yeah, you can just order yours." He said and i hummed in response, scanning through the menu.

"Did you stay in touch with her though?" He then asked with curiosity, making me look up from the menu to see him grinning at me.

"We didn't." I answered his question and raised my hand to order. A waiter immediately noticed me and walked towards me, getting ready to take my order.

"Ehh, why not?" My best friend asked as the waiter came to our table. I told him what i want and once he has taken my order, he bowed his head and left the table. I then turned back to my best friend, who seemed to be disappointed to know that i don't stay in touch with my ex-girlfriend.

"It's quite hard to stay in touch. She's literally on the other side of the world and it's nighttime for her right now." I told him why we didn't stay in touch. After knowing that she had to move to another country, her parents forced us to break up because they didn't want their daughter to be distracted by romance, which they think it's a waste of time at our age. We had no choice but to break up on the day she departed or else her father will kill me, like really kill me and end my life.

"You know, it still shows that you love her. How are you moving on?" My best friend said and ended with another question.

"Honestly, i don't know. I want to believe that there is still hope in us, that we still can get back together one day. And hopefully, someday, her parents will accept our relationship." I said and sighed, dropping my shoulders with sadness. The waiter soon came to our table with our orders and gently placed them on the table then told us to enjoy before walking away from our table.

"Oh? They gave us each a free red bracelet." My best friend said as he noticed two red bracelets on our tray. I took it into my palm and looked at it for a few seconds then decided to put it around my right wrist. My best friend did the same as well, putting it around the same hand as me. We then dug in, enjoying and savoring the food.

"Drop me a text or call me whenever you need someone to talk to." He said as we left the cafe, feeling so full and satisfied with the food.

"Thanks." I said with a small smile and he smiled brightly at me, hitting my shoulder in a playful manner. We then decided to part ways and i looked at the sky, wondering if she has fallen asleep. I still struggle to forget her. We are quite compatible, after all, and she's the only woman that accept me and love everything about me. She could be my soulmate but of course, i don't think so now that we broke up.
