Y/N's POV
A few days later, i received a text message from Sana and was kind of relieved when i knew that she didn't change her phone number as well. Her text message was adorable because she was asking if this is the correct person with a nervous emoji at the end of her question.
I felt really happy when she texted me first and replied to her message, answering her question. We then started chatting about various topics, mostly catching up with each other. It was going really good until she change the topic to relationship. She has a boyfriend and i told her how happy i am for her even though deep down, i was kind of sad for an unknown reason.
I did tell her that i have a girlfriend but i couldn't tell if she was really happy for me through her text messages. If only i knew what kind of expression she was making when i told her about my relationship then i could have known whether she was really happy for me.
'Wanna meet up? Its been so long since we hang out' I texted, changing the topic, and she was down to meet up. We then started planning our meetup after settling on a date to meet. I can't wait to hang out with her again, feeling so excited to hang out like how we used to.
Just a week before Christmas, i asked my girlfriend on her plans on Christmas and whether she wants to spend the day with me. Unexpectedly, she already had plans to spend the day with her family. I asked if i can celebrate together with her family but she said no. Her family really want to celebrate among themselves, was what i thought.
"Why? Cannot celebrate Christmas with your girlfriend?" My mum asked when she heard my sigh and i nodded my head with a hum.
"Why not invite Sana then? You did say she's back here." My mum suggested and i immediately shook my head.
"No! It's better if she spend it with her family and boyfriend!" I said, slightly raising my voice, and instantly apologized to her for raising my voice at her.
"It's okay. It's worth trying than not doing it." She said and it might be worth the try. It's better to try than doing nothing about it and have regrets later on.
Okay! I shall ask her about her plans on Christmas on the day of our meetup!
"Y/N!" Sana shouted my name and immediately hugged me from behind, surprising me.
"Sana, you surprised me!" I said as i turned around in her arms and she smiled brightly at me with a giggle.
We then went to have our lunch at the restaurant, walking side-by-side, and talked about various things during our lunch.
"Ah, by the way, what are your plans for Christmas?" I asked after remembering about the occasion and thought to try asking her.
"I am celebrating with my family." She answered and took a bite of the grilled steak, chewing and humming with delight.
"How about your boyfriend? Your parents still think that dating is a waste of time?" I asked with curiosity and chewed onto the salad.
"They still think like that but they allow me to be in a relationship now. As long as my grades don't drop down by a lot then it's fine. My boyfriend said that he's busy on Christmas." She said and took another bite of the grilled steak. Her boyfriend busy? With what? If he's celebrating with his family, he could have just told Sana about it. Is he hiding something? Hmm...A surprise for her? I was deep in my thoughts, thinking on what her boyfriend could be thinking, and snapped out of my questioning mind when Sana asked,
"How about you, Y/N? What's the plan for your Christmas?" She looked at me with intent eyes and curious expression as she chewed onto the meat in her mouth.
