"I wish
I could somehow help you understand that
every thought I think
is about you.
I am saturated
in your silhouette."

- Tyler Knott Gregson

Donghyuck hurriedly left the school, heading to a place he knew wellㅡwhere he often liked to hide from people. The back of the school was the best option for him, because no one went there, especially the teachers, so Donghyuck could light up a cigarette in peace to think about his next moves. A war between dangerous people was like a game of chess.  Donghyuck had to think through his next moves to win. If he did everything impulsively, he could easily lose.

Leaning against the brick wall, he smoked cigarette after cigarette, feeling the tension inside him grow.  Unable to calm down, he tried to do a breathing exercise, feeling his shallow exhales take hold of his throat. Holding a cigarette in one hand, the boy held his heart, breathing unevenly. At the same moment, around the corner came the figure that the boy did not want to see right now. He also did not want anyone to see him in such a weak condition.

"Donghyuckㅡ"

"Fuck." He whispered to himself, closing his eyes.
"Go away. I do not want you here." Growling, he turned his head, so the girl would not see his eyes shining with tears.

"Listenㅡ" Sumi spoke carefully as she approached slowly.

"Go to your perfect friends, and leave me alone."
Donghyuck said a little louder in a warning tone, taking a drag from his cigarette.

His warnings had no effect on Sumi, because on the contrary she stood next to him, not intending to move. Noticing his shaking hand holding a cigarette, Sumi inhaled sharply.

"Donghyuck, look at me."
She said seriously, tilting her head to look at his face, but the boy avoided her gaze at all costs, hiding behind his hood.

"N-no." Hearing the boy's broken tone, Sumi took the cigarette out of his hand in one move, throwing it into the trash can, and pulled the hood off his head.
Donghyuck did not know what was happening, and before he could reactㅡ the girl grabbed his cheeks delicately, forcing him to look straight at her.

"Breathe, Hyuck."

The boy nodded wordlessly, grabbing her forearms with still shaking hands.

"Inhale." Sumi whispered, inhaling slowly, making sure the boy did the same. "And exhale." She blew out a breath, watching the boy exhale, letting their breaths connect with each other by an invisible thread. They both repeated the exercise two more times, so Sumi could make sure that Donghyuck's panic attack had completely passed, and his hands gripping her forearmsㅡ stopped shaking.

"Better?" Sumi asked with hope in her voice.

"Better." Donghyuck whispered, looking straight into her eyes while releasing her hands.
