Donghyuck, and Mrs. Lee were currently in the kitchen, washing dishes.  They enjoyed each other's presence while music from the radio played in the background. Was Donghyuck in a good mood? You could say that. So good that he made his grandmother dance when the music got a faster tempo; making Mrs. Lee laugh out loud. Thanks to this, she remembered her old times, which were the best memories for her.

"Grandma." Donghyuck announced in a serious voice.

"Yes, honey?"

"Why does it have to hurt so much?" He stood in front of the sink, his hands resting on it. He did not dare to turn around, afraid that tears would roll down his cheeks.

Mrs. Lee, immediately understanding the young man's train of thoughtsㅡ approached him from behind, placing her hand on his shoulder.

"I know how much it hurts you, but believe meㅡ you have to learn to live with this pain, honey. There are no shortcuts."

Donghyuck controlled his breathing, swallowing his saliva. He wanted to curl up on the ground, somewhere in a dark corner, and never show himself to anyone.

"Get some rest, Hyuckie. Thank you for your help."
Mrs. Lee smiled weakly, resting her head on his shoulder while wrapping her arm lightly around his waist.

The boy nodded, heading up the stairs to his room.
He sat on the windowsill,  smoking his cigarettes by the open window while  reading one of the books that were gathering dust on his shelf. Someone could say that he was inspired to readㅡby a certain person. It is been a long time since he felt the paper between his fingers, and the satisfaction of turning the pages. He really missed it.

As he was reading, the sudden sound of the phone made him jump. Putting aside the toxic item, and the bookㅡDonghyuck looked at the messages, seeing one from the person he often thought aboutㅡ it made him smile slightly.

daisy:
hi
sorry it is kinda late
am i bothering you?

fullsun:
well, well
it is fine
did something happen?

Sumi felt tears welling up in her eyes again. She sniffled, and started writing.

daisy:
it is about my boyfriend

Donghyuck read the message, frowning. This could not be a good sign.

fullsun:
do you want to tell me what happened?

daisy:
it is just
once, we used to communicate, sync well
we liked the same things,
and now it is gone

fullsun:
what do you mean?
