"i don't know what living a balanced life feels like
when i am sad
i don't cry i pour
when i am happy
i don't smile i glow
when i am angry
i don't yell i burn

the good thing about feeling in extremes is
when i love i give them wings
but perhaps that isn't
such a good thing cause
they always tend to leave
and you should see me
when my heart is broken
i don't grieve
i shatter"

"Oh, you are here!" Mrs. Lee announced happily, watching as the girl entered the room, placing her backpack on the chair next to the hospital bed.

"I would be even faster if it were not for the quarrel with my parents." Sumi mumbled, giving the old woman a weak smile. She  sighed as she stood up to hug the girl.

"Whatever it was, I think they will get over it."

Sumi did not know what to think about it. She had just shouted out what she thought, and how no one would ever control her, then she found herself here in the hospital, next to her unconscious friend.

Looking around, she adjusted her eyes to the room she was in. Large windows with white frames allowed patients to look at the world, and remind them that there was something beyond the four walls; the white walls gave Sumi a headache, because in her opinion it was too sad, empty; a lonely navy blue leather armchair by the window, plus two wooden cheap chairs placed against the wall opposite the bed, where Donghyuck was lying. Fortunately, a small bathroom was built into the room, making it easier for patients to access the toilet. The small white cabinet next to the bed matched the depressing atmosphere, and Sumi found herself feeling sorry for patients who were confined to the hospital for longer than a few weeks.

When Sumi detached herself from the old woman's body, she took off her jacket, placing it in her hands. "Thank you for the jacket. I took my own this time." Sumi joked, earning a quiet laugh in return.  Both of them turned to look towards the bed with longing in their eyes.

"It is getting late. You would better go home, and sleep in your comfortable bed. It is uncomfortable here." Sumi ordered, pointing to the wooden chairs.

"Are you sure you want to stay here alone? You will die of boredom." Mrs. Lee laughed, giving Sumi a sympathetic look.

"Not completely." Sumi smirked, patting her backpack. "I have a lot to read."

Mrs. Lee shook her head in disbelief, and hugged the girl once again goodbye.  "Let me know right away if he wakes up. It does not matter if it happens in the middle of the night."

Sumi nodded, watching as the old woman walked up to the bed to kiss the boy on the forehead goodbye.
