"You look at me the same,
But I can't reciprocate
Fragrant air
And then I see your face."

The next day, Sumi walked to school with her head held high, rewiring her brain to completely ignore peopleㅡmainly Donghyuck.

Minjae, learning about the girl's meeting from Yuta yesterday, asked if she was sure of her decision, and whether she should kick the ass of a boy who was completely uninterested in her at the beginning. When Sumi was laughing loudly, saying that everything was fine, her mother came into the room complaining about the noise.

The forest in the morning was very pleasant. The tree barks were turning golden, and the leaves shone bright green. The sun tried to get through the holes in the treetops, creating spots of light that looked fabulous against the background of the forest landscape. Sumi walked, avoiding the dangerous rocks, letting the incoming strong wind tickle her body while playing with her hair. Looking up, Sumi watched the individual leaves fall from the trees, unable to stop thinking about Donghyuck. Maybe the boy hurt her a few timesㅡcalling her names, pushing her shoulder in the hallways, sending nasty glaresㅡ he pretented to be completely emotionless, but the messages he sent, said otherwise. Sumi felt that they were reliable.

Putting the pieces of the puzzle together, Donghyuck must have felt very lonely, and the toxic company he mentioned was none other than his "gang" as Yuta called them. The girl kept her fingers crossed for ignoring the boy all day, and not be deceived.

Entering the main corridor, Sumi breathed deeply, listening to the music on her earphones as if nothing had happened. The other students gathered around their lockers going on about their lives, completely ignoring Sumi to her satisfaction. However, one person did not seem to be doing what the others were, looking straight at her.

Closing the locker, Sumi turned to her left, immediately catching the eye of someone she was supposed to avoid. Donghyuck stood with his back against one of the lockers with his hood over his head, staring at the girl from under his bangs, which were falling into his eyes. He observed the girl's pinned-up hair, dark baggy pants, her black, and white striped sweater, and her completely exposed collarbones. He fought himself to look away, but simply could notㅡbeing curious about Sumi, and analyzing in his mind all the messages, he was receiving from her.

Looking into his intense eyes for a moment, Sumi felt her heart leap, and swallowing hardly, immediately looked at the floor.

What did she tell herself as she walked along the way? She was supposed to avoid him, not stare at him. That is what she did, heading to her classroom as if nothing had happened. Donghyuck stared longingly at her retreating figure, remembering how yesterday she had escaped from the school roof, leaving him all alone. He had to admit that he missed her daily messages.
