Before their arrival, James Carter had already instructed Chris Cloud to arrange for the doctor. The doctors and nurses waiting at the entrance were shocked and scared by the scene unfolding before them.

The man, James Carter, had a dark expression, radiating fury. Even from a distance, one could feel the flames of anger emanating from him. His hand, bitten and bloody, had his white sleeve stained red.

The woman, Lily, was crying uncontrollably, her eyes red and swollen, with traces of blood at the corner of her mouth, her hair in disarray, desperately clinging to the car door, refusing to get out.

"James Carter, I'm telling you, if you abort this child today, I will hate you for the rest of my life. You will regret it!" Lily's screams were heart-wrenching.

James's brows slightly relaxed, but as Chris Cloud was about to step forward to persuade him, James's expression turned even more furious. He yelled at the doctors and nurses, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up and help!"

The medical staff, shaken by his outburst, quickly stepped forward to assist.

Lily was too resistant, and even five or six people couldn't handle her.

James roared, "Get the sedative!"

"No, James Carter, you can't do this, it is your child!" Lily cried out desperately.

This was their child; he couldn't be so heartless.

The doctor brought the sedative, and despite Lily's fierce struggle, they only managed to administer half the dose.

Lily immediately went limp, and James quickly supported her, the hatred in her eyes so blatantly apparent.

In the operating room.

Lily could feel the life inside her fading away. Although it hadn't yet taken form, the pain was deeply etched into her mind, into her very bones.

Her eyes, filled with intense hatred, were fixed on James, who stood coldly watching everything. Tears silently rolled down, soaking the entire pillow.

Half an hour later, Lily was wheeled out of the operating room and into a VIP ward.

Seeing James following behind, Lily picked up a pillow and threw it at him, "Get out! I don't want to see you. I will never forgive you in this lifetime, you murderer!"

Like the pillow couldn't vent all her anger and hatred, Lily threw everything she could at James, including tissue boxes, the remote control, and a water cup.

But being weak from the procedure, nothing she threw hit James; everything scattered in front of him.

James watched Lily's breakdown coldly, and when she had nothing left to throw, he stepped towards her.

"Get out, James Carter! I don't want to see you. You murderer!" Lily screamed until she was breathless, her hair dishevelled, her eyes bloodshot, looking almost insane.

As James approached, he reached out to tidy Lily's hair, but she slapped his hand away and kicked him in the leg.

"Don't touch me!"

James's suppressed anger flared up in an instant, and he grabbed Lily, "Lily, don't provoke me."

"So what if I do? James Carter, you killed our child! Where is your conscience? Don't you feel any guilt or remorse?"

"Shut up, don't talk to me about that bastard!" James's anger boiled over, and he gripped Lily's cheeks tightly.

The thought of her having another man's child, and her apparent reluctance to let go, enraged him. He wished he could kill the woman before him, but he couldn't.

Just thinking of a world without her, he didn't know how to continue living. She was like his blood, fused into his very being. To kill her would be to end his own life.
